I've been talking to this cute girl who work at coffee house. I've decided I'd like to get know to her more.
Since she work at a coffee house, I don't think she would be too eager to go to restaturant or out for a coffee. I don't watch television or movies so theater is out. So I'm thinking about having her come to my place so I can cook dinner for both of us.
Would that be a good plan for first time or not?

Well, first I'd kinda talk to her and and find out what she likes. She may be a vegetarian or have allergic reactions to seafood or what ever. Does she drink? Maybe you could get her to meet you after work for a beer, wine, or drink. Maybe an appetizer. this would give you a good indication of whether she drinks as well as giving you clues to the kind of food she eats. Just kinda go with the flow. You know kinda give it a few days. This way you'll be able to feel her out. you'll know more about what she likes. AND personally, any guy, friend or foe, who wants to cook dinner for me, well, I'm impressed! Just don't get all gourmet, just relax and be yourself. Fix something you really know how to fix. Spaghetti is always a winner.Throw a salad together(together) and some garlic bread. Have a good wine breathing and There ya go. Have a hobby show it to her. remember she'll be a little nervous, too. So play it cool. Get a movie she would like to see. When it's getting late, walk her to her car, tell her you were glad she came for dinner, give her a sweet kiss. and say goodbye....
If she enjoyed everything .... the best is yet to be!
One more thing.. ask her to call you when she gets home so you know she made it home all right!

I agree she'd probably be uncomfortable having a first date in your home.. but why do you think she wouldn't want to go to a restaurant because she works in a coffee house? I think it would be a nice change for her to be served rather than doing the serving!

Asking her to come to your house on a first date is a little forward. It is more usual to have a first date in a public place , since that is more comfortable for you both if it turns out you dont get along well.
I would ask her out to lunch first.

It's good idea, but not for the first time. You can tell her about it in the first time to think about it for the next date. When you know about her more, you may prepare for the first date in your place better.
