People seem to use this type of language in everyday situations. It is very offensive and unecessary. These are educated people.

Mild foul language such as **** or damn are some of expressions made by people.. It can be seemed as some form of stress relief.. However, those severe cases of foul language can be rather offensive.. especially if they are used in a meeting or when there are other parties involved.

People who uses foul language are deemed as un-civilised people. In an arguement, there are many ways to express themselves using words.. However, unfortunately, there are some others that do not have the vocabulary to express themselves, that's why they have to resort to lower means by the use of foul language..... Whether these group of people falls under the "Educated" category, when the anger sets in and if they can't find the right words to express themselves, they will definitely resort to means of using foul language.

Very good question indeed.

Its not and never has been acceptable to us foul langauge.

There is no reward for this SIN. Some sin by stealing because they hope to get what they rob as a reward. Some sin by cheating on their spouse, the reward they get is the few MINUTES of fleshly pleasure.

But with bad langauge, there is no reward, none what so ever.

Why do they do it? maybe out of a bad habit they formed years ago and they just can't break it. Other than that, I have no idea why people use foul langauge, there is NO REWARD.

Well, people have always been using "foul" language. Think back... remember when "butt" was bad, and we should use bottom? When the term "bitty" or "tramp" were considered offensively unappropriate terms for ordinary conversations? Slowly, one (typically a generation or more) becomes adapted to an average, and then it is no longer good enough. Look at horror movies. The Boogieman and Warewolves and Count Dracula are no longer scarry. We have to have Saw, etc, where it becomes a discusting video with sometimes hardly any plot. Sadly, we become adapted and crave more and more and more. The same is applied to words. Slowly, we want to express ourselves, we want to push our elder's buttons, we want to be different. Words lose their meanings they lose their values.

i'm one of the guilty, and i was taught better when growing up. the rude behaviors we see now are the ones that we would have been punished for back in the day. sadly, there are so many rude behaviors that are acceptable these days that show a blatant disregard for the respect of others, and no consequences to suffer except for the whispers or glaring stares of the offended. the behaviors continue because its all about consideration of "self" and very little if any for others. plus, children act as their parents do. a person's education (i'm assuming you mean degreed persons) has very little to do with rude and boorish behaviors. i find these people have more of a warped sense of entitlement.

I wish they didn't cause I find it offensive. It seems to be the rule, rather than the exception. I guess I'll have to grow a thicker skin. I hope for a Victorian Era Revival... Prim, Proper, Tactful, Upright, Respectul, Graceful, Intellectual, Dignified.

It might be acceptable in your circles but the only place most people ever hear bad language is at the movies and on HBO.

People don't know any other words these days. Their vocabulary doesn't have enough words to express themselves other than using foul language.

*However, in some situations, a foul word sound better than saying "shoot".*
