Well not quite,
Short story:Went to Planned Parenthood with my friend. She was getting information. We are walking up the front steps and a man protester grabs her arm and pulls her into a big crowd. I follow suit and he starts questioning us and it was really annoying. We remained mute and he was like a maniac getting angry. So i start arguing with him to let go and he starts making me look like an unintelligent person by arguing facts with me and I couldn;t answer because I didn;t know info on pregnancy things. Then he insulted us. My friend was wincing and pulling her arm away. The guy starts precaing to us saying Lord save you like we are on our way to an abortion-fest or something. well i spotted a couple of officers and motioned them over and I told them that he was harrassing us. The officers took hold of the man and got my friend released from he bondage. He got a nice lecture but my friend ended up with a bruise. Beware the radical protesters.
What you think about it.

My husband allways tell me not to point. I would never point at a person - but I sometimes point in a direction, towards a shop or a nice car. He is from South Africa, and I am from Denmark, so I think maybe it is a cultural difference. What do you think, is it rude to point in public? Whcih country are you from?

This morning and older dude was standing at the door holding it open for me and saying good morning. I assumed he was holding the door for me cause he stood their waiting for a second with the door open looking at me. I sped up and right as I started to go in he proceeded to drift right in front of me so I sped up even faster to avoid colliding with him. I could care less if anyone holds he door for me or not to be honest, but don't sike me out. How lame! What's up with that? What would you do in such a situation?

Should we tell our parents of destination wedding upon first meeting; they never met before .... tell them of our plans at first meeting?

My fiance and I have recently decided to have a destination wedding and not invite ANYONE, including our parents.

My parents divorced over 20 years ago and still HATE each other. Both have re-married since then. My fiance's parents are still married and would really like us to have a TRADITIONAL wedding, as would my mother and my grandmother.

While they have an idea of our plans, we are thinking of having them (my mother and stepfather and his parents) meet for the first time for dinner and announce our wedding plan.

We think that they are less likely to get overly upset in the presence of future in-laws, and this will allow them to let the news settle in for a little while.

Is this an ambush to spring it on them like this, or a good idea, so we don't get a guilt trip?

They already have a VERY good idea we are planning this.

He makes comments about my own dad, whom he calls "smooth" because he is very polite & diplomatic, unlike himself who is like a bull in a china shop, always calling my neighbors "a**holes" because they parked too close when he comes over or something. He constantly spews uneducated comments such as, "I wish no one spoke anything but english in public because they might be saying something about me." I have been married to his daughter for nearly 9 years, but he has always been insincere, brutish, vaguely rude, aloof, unfriendly, and makes comments that appear as though he is jealous of my dad who is quite educated although is quite up in years now.

I enjoy giving presents, so much so that I give them at random times during the year, or when I think people need some cheering up. For instance this one girl mentioned that she misses salt water taffy since moving up, so I found this store that sold it and got it for her. or when this girl was going on a trip to Portugal, I found this 200 year old map of Portugal and got it for her before she left.

The thing is, I am not interested in these girls, I just like giving presents. I am starting to think that girls may get the wrong idea, I really hope this isn't the case, I've been doing this for years, but I am startign to think it is, which would be a shame if it's true, what do you think?

At Xmas, we were burgled and lost everything. I told this friend what had happened & all she did was go on about a bloke she knew and how he'd found the love of his life! She did say hope everything goes well for me. A few days later, she left me a message on my mobile to say, "I've not had one Xmas card from the temp agencies and haven't been invited to their Xmas parties". There was no mention about my suffering, she never asked anything about my burglary, how I'm managing, if I need anything etc. The latest is she emailed me to say, “I left you alone as I felt that is what you needed. We all make mistakes you know.” and then went on to talk about her own issues again. Do you think she really is caring? I would have thought that if she was a good friend, she’d have been more on the scene. All she’s kept doing is comparing when she was burgled (years ago, before I met her) and how lucky I am not to have had men with knives on them!

everytime i am with her all she does is tell me how Bad meat is and " that animal had to die for you" and how i should become a vegan like her because it's the right thing to do..

I tell her i respect her opinions and her beliefs. but i just can't be a vegan..

i've always been nice and listen to her side all the time..without arguing..but it's wearing out of the constant preaching..i don't know if i can take it anymore..

at times i feel like eating a big fat juicy steak in front of her just to shut her up..BUT i won't..it's just got that annoying..what should i do to make her stop?

Shaking hands just seems too risky. Especially on a cruise or in a hotel.

I got a new student teacher yesterday and as I was talking to her I used a tissue to blow my nose. Then later I realized that I had forgotten to wash my hands, but in the meantime touched the computer, the door handle, etc. I am embarrased and this is very unlike me, as I am usually very good about hand washing after such events. Do you think I should apologize, disinfect these items in front of her, or just let it go?
