I do this mainly at buffets where the silverware is left out and not wrapped up in a napkin. I am addicted to it. I have even went as far as opening the silverware out of the napkins and rewrapping it. I then sit back and watch as others get the silverware and eat with it. Is something wrong with me since I enjoy this so much?

I find it rude, I have stop until they stop looking at me. Why do people do this, specially if you are the only one with food. They look like hungry dogs.

What ever happened to good old fashion manners?

When did everyone become too busy to say THANKYOU??

I takes one second of your time and shows the other person that you appreciate what they did for you.

Wouldn't the world be a nicer place if we ALL said it?

I don't celebrate in Christmas for 2 reasons. Firstly, as anti-capitalist, Xmas unfortunately has become a celebration of commercialism and consumerism than joy or love. Secondly, a part of my family is orthodox Christians who only celebrate holidays in accordance with the Bible. Jesus was born in the springtime, not on Dec 25, which is was actually the pagan day of worship for the Sun God. King Constantinople in an attempt to convert pagans to christians, chose that day to celebrate Christ's birthday. Orthodox Christians do not believe the day should be honored. Sometimes, it's very awkward to have people giving you well wishes and not be able to reciprocate or receive them. I work in mainstream media and it is customary to say to people "happy holidays" or merry christmas. I would like to remain true to myself and beliefs. What would be the appropriate response to such well wishes without giving too explanatory of a response?

I have a roommate who recently moved in with me. Since the day she moved in, she has been very annoying. She talks loudly on the phone until late at night...like 1 or 2 am and then gets up early again and she is back on the phone. I do not know what kind of important phone conversations she is having...but she is driving me crazy. I am a full time student who needs to study and sleep but recently I can not do either of them. I have talked to her few times about the problem but she has not changed. I have even talked to my landlords about it. They talked to her as well and reminded her about the rules in the contract. After that, she remained quiet for few days but then reverted back to the same mode. At this point, I feel totally helpless. Please suggest something (other than getting earplugs or moving out).

Okay, so I love the hell out of my Boyfriend, there is just one thing that he does that drives me INSANE!!! I cannot stand the way he eats. He uses his fork like a shovel, licks his fingers, chews with his mouth open and smacks. Now, at home it's not too bothersome, but when we go out to a resturant, I am very embarrassed, I can't even look at him. I don't think he is rude or doesn't have manners, I just think that he was never taught proper ettiquette. Is this something that I should just let go, or try to correct? Any advice is helpful.

I have an interview scheduled for a doctoral program. 2 of the current graduate students (an engaged couple) offered to pick me up from the airport and let me stay at their home for 2 nights. I do not know them from a hole in the wall, but thought it would be nice to bring them a small thank-you gift. I would like to spend between $30-$50. I thought about a nice bottle of wine, but then my husband pointed out that they might not drink wine. The only thing that I know about the couple is that the woman enjoys cooking. Any ideas? Do you think that giving a gift is appropriate or weird?

My office assistant (I work in a psychologist office) tends to smell like poop, and I can't stand it! I don't know what to say about it because you can't really bring that kind of thing up. I've tried giving her gum and mints, but she won't take them. I think it's her breath; I have reason to believe she has an eating disorder. She somehow manages to fill the whole office with a mild sense of poop. One day, she even turned to me and said she had a bad taste in her mouth. What do I do?

Today I went to the bank and the person that was assisting me didn't smile at me at all. Even though I was smiling at her, her face was like straight and no expression what so ever. For some reason it kind of bothered me.
