I wasn't really expecting the government to outlaw it. It was more of a joke. Just my own personal opinion. Thats all, but thanks for the answers.

I feel the same way about defecating in the kitchen. It just isn't right!

Do you think everything disagreeable to YOU should be outlawed? What if your perfume is disagreeable to someone in the bathroom? What if they just bought some fast food, are alone, and cannot leave it outside because it will be stolen? Perhaps it would be better if everyone let up on everyone else when the matter is so trivial.
So, in answer, I disagree because it makes no difference to me and the last thing we need are laws regarding toilet etiquette.

I agree on the outlawing of bringing food in the bathroom because the bathroom is for relieving one's self of bodily wastes and other contaminants from the surrounding environment. I think it's taboo to be ingesting something in a place where you are supposed to be focusing on waste evacuation. That is just disgusting in so many ways.

I wouldn't eat in the bathroom, but if anyone else wants to that's their own problem. It shouldn't be outlawed if it's your own food. Of course if it's food you're preparing in a restaurant, it's no good doing it in the restroom, but my guess would be that's already outlawed!

Who the hell eats in a bathroom? What about the bathroom makes people say "ya know this looks like a great place to stop and have a bite."?

No. First of all, yes, it is discusting when people eat in a bathroom, but does it hurt you? Do you want congress to spend thousands of dollars to pass a law as rediculous as this when there are so many other things people need to abide by first. How about we spend the money that it would require for congress to pass your law on increasing jail space so we can have tougher penalties for drunk dirvers and parol violators. Do you know my nephew was molested and his bottom hole was ripped, we had to spend alot of money on counciling and medical analysis and his violator only was in jail for 6 months! I think congress needs to stick to more pertinant subjects.

outlawed ??? why? who brings food into the bathroom? yuck I don't need no law against it . It would just be too gross to eat any food that was ever in a bathroom. btw did you ever see that Seinfeld about George bringing a BOOK into the bathroom AT Brentano's?it's hysterical. A BOOK? lol if taking a book into the toilet is so funny and gross why would we need laws about food?.

There are so many gross thing associated with that question. I believe you should ONLY have food in the bathroom after a very VERY thorough cleaning with bleach and other cleaners, and even then only in the bathtub and that should be limited to wine, strawberries, and other fruits.

Fully agree.
If you tested the surfaces in the normal bathroom you would find more bacteria in there than in your rubbish bin and most of this is air born due to the fact that you flush.

While eating in the bathroom wouldn't be for me, there doesn't need to be a law against it. Those who do, only chance hurting them self and that is freedom of choice.
