What's the problem now? You want to get paid and get benefits for being a housewife? Damn what next? You should be thankful that you don't have to report to a boss on a daily basis. What do you do?

Get up
Take care of the children
Make sure they get to school (and the bus most likely picks them up)
Clean the house
Do the laundry (and that's not even on a daily basis)
Watch TV
Take A Nap
Get up again
Get dinner ready
Greet the children coming home from school
Help them with their homework
Prepare Dinner
Greet your husband when he gets home
Watch TV with the Family
Get Ready for Bed
Make Love to your Husband
And Go To Sleep

Hell I wish I had that lifestyle! I work everyday! I do love my job. I use to be the liberated, independent woman. Now if a man told me that I didn't have to work and that he would take care of me, I would leave my job in a heartbeat! So be thankful for having a good man that takes care of you and stop asking for more! That's our problem today! Greed! Never enough! There are people in the world that have nothing! Be thankful for what you have and stop b!tchin!

Good lord; I am a housewife. I cook, clean, laundry and take care of all of my childs needs, my husbands needs. I also go to college full time and my husband goes to school full time and works. I get paid with appreciation. Stop complaining.

Life is hard, work for it.

I did it for 15 years (until all 4 of my children were in school full time). I didn't then nor do I now expect the government to pay me for having and raising children. It was our choice to have them and it was my choice to stay home and raise them. If you want compensation for raising your children, you should not have had them.

i would not under any circumstances support the government giving benefits to or paying housewives or househusbands to stay home.

I think the money could be better spent on the health care crisis or educating our children.
