My grandad picks his nose, drops food down his shirt and farts when he feels like it. Nobody objects. Why is it wrong at forty?

Should I tell the people that invited me to there house that I am a vegetarian, or should I just bring a dish I can eat. Is it rude to inform them, or not to inform them?

I'll be honest, it bugs me when people go to the gym and are chatting on their cell phones, even with a hands free set it still distracting. It also bothers me when people leave in the ear piece when they are not using them. I can see when you are driving but i think the rest of the time they look like dumb assses
Am i being to hard on them? Do people think it is distracting to be at the gym with people on their cell phone, or ok? Let me know if you are one of these people, if you are explain your side.

She's 44 years old, unmarried. She's super nice 1 moment then turns around and talks about you behind your back and makes snide remarks. Such immature behavior at an old age. How best to put her in her place? Old lady jokes?

I'm sure you all have some funny stories to tell. A night that sticks in my mind is; When staggering to a taxi rank my best friend took off her shoes. She ended up walking in glass (not clever.) The funny thing was she turned round to me as calm as can be an said. "oh dear Gem I've just trodden in glass an now my foot is bleeding oh well I have another lol obviously I took her home an sorted it out for her. We both still laugh about it to this day.

The problem is that the smoke comes up through the floor, and my wife and I can't stand it. We have asked them to stop several times, and it doesn't happen everyday, but each time they do it is very irritating.

When I meet people with accents, I'm always interested in where they're from. It's only because I'm interested in other cultures and meeting new people. I usually say "you have such a pretty accent, where are you from?" But my friends says it's rude to point out peoples accents. Is it rude?

I like to party just like the next guy, but when my girlfriend and I both have to work @ 6am on a Sunday and the noise from upstairs doesn't stop until 4:30am....grrrrrrrr. I'm not sure how to handle the situation.

Whenever you see another white person, say "what's up cracka?". If they sayer crackER and not crackA then lets say it's wrong. And if someone that is not white says "cracka" lets get mad at them.

I just finished my internship for a U.S. Representative at DC. There are 9 staff that work in that office and I do plan to send a Christmas card, but do I need to write one for each person or just send one with everyone's name on it?

Also, should I write a separate one for the Representaive even though I've only seen her 3 times while I was working there for 3 months?
-I worked with the staff more closely than the Congresswoman and the most I've done was greet her.

Thanks!

First off, lets agree that rascism means that you believe one race of people is superior to another or that you are prejudiced towards someone based on their race.

If I say to someone, "I don't like your hair" does that mean I don't like that person entirely? Am I being prejudice? Not necessarily. I don't like my sister's hair, and I love her. So my real question is this:

If I don't like a certain stereotype about a race of people, does that make me rascist?

I don't like people from Ecuador because they all ride turtles. That doesn't mean I hate all Ecuadorians does it? Because the truth is I love them. So how can I be rascist towards someone I love? Explain that.

I think some people are afraid of what they really think of other races because they are afraid of being labeled rascist.

don't want to... for instance, one time she made NY steak for my roommate and i .... i told her it was delicious, but i am exercising portion control, so i cut it in half and told her i'd eat the other half for lunch tomorrow... she keeps insisting that i eat the other half... and her portion that she cut... i told her nicely that i'm full, and i'll save the other half for lunch. she gets mad and said that it's cooked perfectly and it won't be good tomorrow and i eat it all.. and even tries to force feed me by putting it in my mouth... this is constant at the house... where it's driving me crazy and i'm thinking about moving... i know she is being nice...and motherly...and i should be grateful and appreciative... but i really want to control what i eat... and it's getting annoying... a couple times, i have snapped at her that i don't want whatever she is feeding me....am i over reacting?

mindset have we also gone too far? Have we as a whole thrown to the wayside and utterly abandoned basic etiquette? I just went to a wonderful Ballet of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker. I am not too upset that the masses applauded in the wrong spots but what I dont understand is where is the respect for the arts and knowing the etiquette for such occassions? I mean I wore the appropriate attire coat and tie and the majority of adult men and women wore the proper attire (coat and tie and the ladies either a dress or dress slacks) but the rest wore like t-shirts and jeans very underdressed. where is the honor gone in our society?

Ok, I'm sure you're saying QUIT! But its a tiny company and the first job where I am really needed and depended on. In my actual work, 95% of my contact is with his partner, and the boss and I were more friends. Now I realize he went out of his way to not mention his girlfriend for almost a year. He was also so over the top in his flirting (sitting on my lap, asking me to rub his feet), that I never really thought he wasn't single. I finally went home with him after a party, lots of fun...Went to the office after work (I work on the road) for an office party and this woman says, "Hi, I'm xxxxx, xxxx's girlfriend."
My Thoughts:
1) I pushed my way into this company because I thought they would become very successful and invested a year in it.
2) I could easily continue to work with the partner and not talk to him
3) I feel that if I continue to work, I'll be "approving" of the cheating
4) If I dissapear, he'll "get away with it"
5) If I stay, I'll lose self-respect

Our neighbor is spreading horrible untrue things around about my husband and I around our neighborhood. The people who know us know that it's not true, but I feel as though I should write them some type of a small letter asking them to please stop slandering us, we have done nothing to them but live next door. (They have not liked us since we moved in 3 years ago. They walked over to our house the day we moved in..and instead of a welcome, they said, " If you are going to live here you'd better be sure to keep this lawn mowed and that hedge trimmed.") The recent "story" going around about us us so atrocious that I thought about making a police report but I don't know if that's going too far or I should just right the letter first and see what happens.

My friend got angry at me because I kept smiling at guys (if she paid more attention i smiled at everyone) when we were out drinking. It wasnt even a big smile, no teeth and i didn't wink or anything. I smile because i'm polite if someone looks at me what should i do, just frown at them.

Do you think smiling is an invitation for conversation, or just being polite!??? If someone smiles at you do you take it as... come and talk?
