Slice it and arrange it on a serving platter. This way, everyone will get the same sized piece and the cake won't get butchered by people who can't cut properly. You'll also have less of a mess to clean up.

If its meant to b a little fancy, then slice it and set it up nicely. If not, than you could leave it whole, or just slice half.
