Or serve it whole and let each person slice their own?

Slice it and arrange it on a serving platter. This way, everyone will get the same sized piece and the cake won't get butchered by people who can't cut properly. You'll also have less of a mess to clean up.

If its meant to b a little fancy, then slice it and set it up nicely. If not, than you could leave it whole, or just slice half.

Slice at least part of it - saves time at the buffet and that way people will be happier!@

hi from Canada, too. i became into waiting for somebody to invite what a toonie or nanaimo bars have been! Your innovations are good - just to grant you a concept, we had a buffet for 2 hundred - lined - carved Baron of beef; turkey; baked ham; infant roasted potatoes; warm mixed vegetables; a variety of salads, in all likelihood 8, lined Caesar, backyard, potato, macaroni, coleslaw, marinated, and so on.; veggie and fruit trays with dips; buns, cheeses, pickles; form of cheesecakes and dainties for dessert. verify with nearby caterers/motels for worry-loose innovations on catering plans and fees.

Either way. If you're worried about there not being enough, then pre-slice it.
