cell phone ettiquette, gym etc.?

Question

I'll be honest, it bugs me when people go to the gym and are chatting on their cell phones, even with a hands free set it still distracting. It also bothers me when people leave in the ear piece when they are not using them. I can see when you are driving but i think the rest of the time they look like dumb assses
Am i being to hard on them? Do people think it is distracting to be at the gym with people on their cell phone, or ok? Let me know if you are one of these people, if you are explain your side.

I'm with you!

I go to the gym to work out not to take phonecalls in fact, I look on it as my time away from all the hassles of everyday life.

I mean, how can you be doing a set of bench presses, giving it your all and be talking on the phone? whats the point of training if you're not giving it 110%? and whats voicemail for?

Why pay all that money for gym membership when all you're going to do is talk on the phone? save some money, stand in the street or stay in the office!!

But then, would these people be the same ones who always turn up like they're entering a fashion parade instead of training??

I do not understand why people get mad when someone is on a cell phone in a restaurant or at the gym. It is the same thing as people talking at a restaurant or people talking while they workout. What really is the difference?
At the gym, cardio is do BORING, so maybe talking on the phone helps time fly or you know multi-tasking?!
More important I think if the person you are with is annoyed by it than they shouldn't do it or tone it down. But in this world today people are very busy.

i do not understand the "perfect ettiquette" for it both yet I agree that it truly is gross. If i had to apply the restroom i'd make confident i did not call everybody earlier moving into there. If I received a decision at the same time as i became in there i does no longer answer the phone and make contact with them decrease back at the same time as i became done and only state that you ignored the decision. i understand i does no longer opt to take heed to everybody use the restroom so i does no longer attempt this to everybody else.

I take my cell to the gym,but only so i can monitor the time between sets.

i think talking on the phone could be a little more discrete however when it comes to people wearing their head sets....calm down. Want me to come to your house and point out all your bad shirts or ugly shoes?
