Tell them EXACTLY what you're sorry for, and why you're sorry.

Be sincere, and if they don't accept it, don't give up. . .try again another time. It's not fun, but it is so worth it.

apologize from the heart. no excuses, no jabs at them, just a sincere apology. oh, and look them in the eye...it shows you mean it!

If you apologized just make sure you meant it.
