I'd definitely mention it, but remember that you're invited to the house as company - the focus should be on the people rather than on the food (if that came out right...). So, you could say something like "Hey - I'm really looking forward to seeing you on Sunday - I just want you to know that I'm a vegetarian. I'm sure I can find plenty to eat at your house, but I was wondering if you might like me to bring something?" That makes it clear that if you're picking at dinner, it isn't because of something wrong with the host's cooking, and also gives the host an option...

You need to inform them so that they are not embarrassed when they have nothing to feed you. I would say something along the lines of "Hi, just wanted you to know that I am vegetarian, and I would love to bring a dish to share if that's alright with you." Or "I am a vegetarian but I don't want to inconvenience you so I can bring my own dish." Go with what they say they want. Some hostesses will enjoy the opportunity to try something new, but if he/she seems doubtful I'd bring something. You also have the option of eating before you come so that you aren't starving if things don't go as planned.

My daughter was a vegan for a long time before she had her little girl. She would bring a dish she could eat and let the host or hostess know quietly that she wasn't able to eat the meat dishes. She wouldn't go into her reasons, but just say that she needed to eat vegetable dishes rather than meat. Usually people responded very well.

Bring a dish that you like to eat and try eating the vegetables in their home as well. If they weren't aware that you are a vegetarian before they invited you ; perhaps you should have declined. When the cook sees that you aren't eating she will feel bad.

Tell them. When my son's gf told me that she is a vegetarian, I put food in the house that she could eat when she came over. Also, some vegetarian dishes are not that hard to prepare.

Yes I think it would be appropriate to tell the person who invited you that you do not eat meat. Maybe that person will show you some consideration & fix you a vegetrian dish or if you want you can bring your own dish for others to try it out. Happy Eats!

You should tell them so they can include a vegetarian dish in their meal planning.
But do ask them if they want you to bring a dish.

you're saying thank you lots, and point out they could desire to possibly understand you luckily devour all of the plant and vegetable and fruit meals, ie vegan, or no longer something with animals. and then say, you regularly tell human beings so which you haven't any longer have been given surprises on the day, and that maximum nutrition have a TON of vegan waiting food, with none specific prep. consisting of beans, rice, salad, soup etc. SO there is not any ought to pass to a lot of difficulty and you would be happy with any of that stuff. because of the fact we could face it, in case you went to any occasion the place actually all they served substitute into meat derived stuff ,you probably could have an argument besides. there will be somewhat "oh truly? ok", and average ask your self/chuckle, and you in simple terms say "yeah, no longer a huge deal, that's on no account an argument, cos i'm a pig while it comprises salad and those beans!". human beings in simple terms prefer to no longer sense under pressure, and breaking the ice is a sturdy concept.

i think you should politly tell them that you are a vegetarian...most peopel will accept that this is your choice. Also you could bring a dish that you can eat, but make enough for everyone! that way everyone can eat the same, and also they can see what you like and what is it like to eat no meat!!!!
good luck!
