I mean..in Europe..they eat noodles like stuff..like pastas and spaghettis with forks...not chopsticks..How did this system of using chopsticks begin? And what are the etiquette to follow on this??

As all you melon fans out there will know the only way to test a melon for ripeness is to knock it and see what kind of noise it makes. As I'm hard of hearing I cant do this, and on occasion I take a little knife into the store and cut a small bit off to taste it.

Sooner or later I may get caught. The store has upped its security after recently catching a member of the clergy trying to sample some member of staff on the ethnic foods section.

Do I carry on testing my melons, or just stick with stuff from the hardware department, like wind chimes etc ?

I'm an LCMS Lutheran and have been attending the same church for over 15 years. I know everyone and they know me and I'm now 4.5 months pregnant. I told a close friend who teaches at the school, another friend, another lady in the church, and I told the pastor (who also insulted my finacee through me, forcing him to not want to EVER step foot in my church again). These people were told not to tell anyone I was pregnant and I was just about 2 months at the time. My mom got a phone call from the school nurse saying she heard I was pregnant and if we wanted to borrow a changing table from her. She's always telling people "thats none of your business" when they ask anything. I am angry because who could have told? I thought I could trust those people and quite frankly don't want that nosy church spreading my business. Transferring is not an option so don't even suggest it. But would you be mad about this? I feel like my privacy has been blatantly invaded. Should I confront this person?

So, I live with my boyfriend & we have a roommate. My boyfriend owns the house, but has trouble standing up for himself when it comes to problems with our roommate.

Here's a list of ongoing problems:
*He doesn't do his dishes for WEEKS at a time, creating maggets & other problems in our kitchen.
*He won't buy his own, or even offer to split the cost of toilet paper, dog food (we both have dogs), laundry detergent, dish soap, etc.
*My bf feels thinks that he is stealing light bulbs from around the house for his bedroom.
*He won't clean up after himself, yet if we leave a fast food cup or wrapper on the table for even an hour, he starts cleaning up OUR stuff.
*He's a mechanic and leaves tools, parts, & extra work (ie: transmission, tires, CAR on street in front of house) sitting around for months.
*He talks slander about my bf right in front of me while he's on the phone.
*He doesn't even pay bills on time!

How do we address the issue w/out having to kick him out???(need the $)
Thanks

Recently before a final exam a fellow student sat right next to me and began looking over my shoulder at my textbook to review. It is common that during final exams students should sit every other seat to ensure originality. The proctors did not enforce this rule during this particular exam due to limited seats, but I sat in the third seat of the row (so she could have sat on the end). Although she more or less reviewed with me, she never introduced herself or asked if she could use my book. Whenever I flipped the page, she would help herself to my book and look at the previous page if she was not finished with it.

Normally this would infuriate me and I would have refused to let her use my book, but lately I feel that not helping others is a selfish and rude behavior, even if other people lack manners. How should I have let her known that she was being rude (and intruding in my space) without being openly harsh? Has politeness evaporated from our society?

one of my co-workers said to the other about me "she sure showed you up" then she chuckled. They didn't know I could hear them, I happen to hear it when I passed by their office.

Was that a compliment to me or no?

A couple of months ago, when my boyfriend was out of work and I still had a job, he asked to borrow some money to cover basic expenses while he looked for a job. Now he has a job, and I'm out of work and am having a lot of trouble finding a new job. I could really use the money I lent him, but I don't know how to approach him about it without it turning into an awkward situation.

How should I approach this?

I am really strongly prolife. My friend told me the truth about her getting an abortion a while ago and she doesnt regret it. Ive always wanted a prolife sticker on my car, would that be wrong? one of those "stop abortion" ribbons, like the "support our troops" ones. do you think that would offend her bad? Its my opinion, and my truck, but shes also my friend. help!

I just found out my sister-in-law, (husband's brother's wife) who is "making" Christmas Eve dinner, (and who I've seen "helping" at my inlaws' without washing her paws) is serving the leftover ham and turky from HER families' dinner. My mother in law left a message that we're supposed to bring a lettuce salad only. Now I'm sorry. If I want to be served Christmas leftovers, I'll show up on the 26th, not the 24th! I want to bring fresh food. Am I the one who's unreasonable?

Long story short. Guy friend who I'm worried about. He's Catholic, says he believes and Jesus Christ and God. Prays through Mary [if that is the right way to say it]. Believes in the Bible – but doesn’t always obey. He does Marijuana, cigarettes and alcohol. I still care about him and pray for him every night, but I'm a Pentecostal Christian. On his Christmas card, I want to write, "You don’t deserve what you are doing to yourself. ______ loves you.” I don’t know weather to put “God” or “Jesus” there. Which one is more appropriate? Does it really matter? HELP!

Do you think its healthy to go skinny dipping in front of your cousin?
My cousin Paige has a swimming pool and I have been over there. She often invites me when she has get togethers. Every once in a while some of the guests go topless and few guys (we are all in our 20's) have gotten nude. I actually went nude for the first time last week in front of her and some of her female friends. Is this ok? I mean should I make a big deal about it or am I making a big deal about it. Sometimes its fun just to skinny dip.
