Just explain your situation and ask him. If he is a guy worth his salt he'll help you out and return the favor. If you gave the $ as a gift, then you can't expect something back, though. But, if you gave it as a loan you can ask for it back. Again, if he is a worthwhile guy he'll be happy to take care of you when you need it. Go get 'im!

Dear, first of all sit with a note pad,and jot down each and every expenses which u will incur in the coming two months. Now see how much cash balance ur having with u .if the balance is more than ur expenses then i would suggest u dont ask for the money now.If ur expenses are more than the balance than try to cut on some avoidable expenses.I think two months is enough to find a job.if still the situation is grim then this is the time to judge people .Go straight to ur friend and explain him ur situation but avoid saying that pls return the money u had given to him.sit with him and explain him the situation. If he understands ur genuine need then he will surely bail u out.To avoid this type of unfortunate incident happening in future i would suggest when u get the job u start saving at least 20 % from ur salary .u can do recurrring deposit in ur bank for 12 months .Always remember if god closes one door he opens another.maybe by putting u in this situation he is trying to see whether u can swim or u will drown.believe me if u swim thru this situation and I strongly believe u will and will come out much stronger.have faith in ur self and god and this bad phase will pass.Apply ur mind and if ur right and means are justified than nothing can stop u.have faith in ur self

Just tell him what is going on with you. Let him know that you are having a really hard time finding a job, and could he repay the money that you lent to him. Also let him know that if he cant pay it all anything that he could give you sure would help out. Be sure and keep down (such as in a journal the amount that he gave you, and the date). Good luck finding a job.

Drop little hints that you might be having some financial difficulty. If that doesn't work you are going to have to come straight out with it. Money causes a lot of trouble in relationships! Every episode of those "People's Court" kind of tv shows has some poor girl on there trying to get money back she lent an ex-boyfriend. Good luck!

I think if he was even a decent friend, let alone a decent boyfriend, he would have paid u back as soon as he could, and now that u have no job he should be doing whatever he can to help u.

I don't understand why you can't just ask him for the money. I'm sure he didn't spend any extra time pondering how to ask you for money. Why do women always feel obligated to skirt around the issue just to spare people's feelings? Ask him for the money and stop being so scared.
Don't wait until you break up and expect the court system to do what you don't have the courage to do yourself.

Tell him that you supported him when he was in a tough spot, and ask him to do the same for you now, and go on to ask if you can have the same amount you lent him when he needed it, like he's paying you back (but make it out like he's doing something nice for you). And in the future, keep the lending to a minimum. It gets messy.

This is your boyfriend...? Just remind him that he owes you money and now would be a very good time for you to get that money back in light of your current situation.
You don't have to be rude or forceful about it; just state the facts. Whether or not he pays up will give you a good indication of where your relationship is heading...

Just explain that you need money and can he "loan" you some. Unless he's an a** he won't expect you to pay it back. Good luck!
