the cost was like 2.00 for each bag. is it an insult to give my supervisor and his 2 supervisors the same cheap general gift i gave to all my coworkers? also, some of these coworkers are dept heads and I am no dept head, so is this ok?

p.s. I can't afford to buy the 3 main supervisors real gifts. it's 2.00 candy bags or no gift at all for them.

I think it's completely up to you about whether you choose to give a gift to your bosses, but I think the candy bags would be just fine.

Its ok NOT to give them the bags of candy. I would leave them a nice card signed "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays". As for your bags, its a nice idea. Inexpensive and thoughtful is how i would say it. Tie a nice bow, give it with a sincere wishes for a happy Christmas/Holiday and you're set

I would give it to them. It is thoughtful. I'm sure they would feel awkward if you bought them a "real" gift b/c that's not the kind of relationship you have. This way it is a nice affordable way of let them know you wish them a Merry Christmas. They'll appreciate the time you put into them (hopefully)

I think a bag of candy and a hand-writen card or note is just perfect. It shows you thought of them, and everyone likes candy. Thoughtfullness goes a long way. You are kind to think of them.

Give them the bags. What makes them any better than anyone else? Most employees probably won't get them anything.
