*i'm talking female wise*
what i mean is, my aunt asked me how i was and i said i had something wrong with me, and she goes "oh no, your not pregnant are you?!" ....i don't even have a boyfriend anymore. and he isn't even here anyways....the last time i saw him was in june when we were still together......
anyways ....why do people just jump to "are you pregnant?" when you say that you have somethign to tell them or something?

You are probably of child bearing age and not in a good position to have a baby. Right now you get Oh, no ... When you are newly married, everybody will hope you're pregnant every time you sneeze (no, that is not a symptom of pregnancy) & you'll get Maybe, you're pregnant :)! It's something women do to eachother especially older women to younger women. The worst part is the inferrence that you wouldn't know or you wouldn't be able to figure it out if you were pregnant. Cheer up, once you have a few children they'll lay off and let you be naseaus without being harassed. For now you just have to deal with the assumption that you're pregnant every time something is the slightest bit wrong. I used to remind everybody that being pregnant was NOT something that is WRONG with my body.

Probably because that's a major problem, or can be, for a young lady, and the thing parents and close relatives also (perhaps) fear the most. It is almost always life changing, one way or another, now or in the future.
But to figure out why people do things is a guesstimate at best. People often don't know why they themselves do things.
Anyway, you can always respond with, "No, I'm not, and I'll accept your apology now or later."

I get that all the time. If I say anything is wrong then I am automatically pregnant. Including, but not limited to:
*runny nose
*fatigue
*gas
*sore muscles
*hunger
*thirst
*boredom
etc....
You get the idea. Women just want other women to be pregnant. Why? I don't know but it bugs the hell outta me!

Well, when you give a vague response like "I have something wrong with me". You sound like you don't want to tell them straight out, because your embarrassed about your condition. You leave it to their imaginations, and since you are a young girl the most likely "ailment" would be pregnancy. This would also be easier for your aunt to accept than cancer, AIDS, or some other life threatening disease.

I think its intinct for them to do that ashumans typically assume that the worst things has been done where in their case the worst thing that a girl can do to her self even espacially when she isn't married is to get herself preganant. I hope my answer satisfies you.

I never had this happen to me. Do you make a habit of having unprotected sex or have several unplanned children already? If people that know you are aware of this they may jump to conclusions.

Maybe because pregnancy messes with your body. My ma would say"I had a dream that some one was pregnant... are you pregnant?" Maybe she asks me all the time because the first time she did that to me I was pregnant.

It's probably a more pleasant thought that you might be pregnant than thinking about other possibilities such as disease, cancer, etc.
