Last night there was a House fire down my block. So when I saw the fire I went down to the house on fire ....But two weeks prior while i was visiting their yard sale that they invited me to. Their 3yr old bratty kid bit me behind my leg on my calf ...I AM THE 4TH BITE VICTIM THIS KID BIT..So when i saw these little puppies whimpering&Mother My instinct was obviOse but while i was going towards the dogs ....They told me to forget the dogs and to help them and their kid first ....No Way Was I Touching that kid Ever ......They did not even care about the poor helpless dogs/pets but i did.........So When the little puppies started crying (very loud crying) my heart just sank.... I had to save them and their mother first ...The puppies&mommy dog were in more trouble than anyone else in the house....Now people are complaining that some of the family members had some minor burns because I did not help them first.(The ones who just stood there and did not help are the ones complaining)

Sometime, my college pals and I will chat, and it seems like every damn person in the room is staring over in my direction. I am not chatting during class, and I am not talking very loud either. Its like everyone is staring at me all of a sudden. Is this just curiosity? I know, when others talk I couldn't give a rats a * * what they are talking about. Why do they do this?

No, I do not have children, a close friend asked for advice, and I did not know what to tell her. Anyway, my good friend spanks her children when they misbehave. I do not see anything wrong with it. I was spanked, she was spanked, and she seems pretty responsible, never spanking out of anger. Her neighbor, is very anti spanking, and lets said friend know it all of the time. She constantly says that spanking children is physical, emotional, and sexual abuse (by the way, neighbor’s son is terrible, I once saw him throwing rocks at a kitten.) This really upsets friend, who is a dedicated mother who loves her kids so much. How can friend politely tell neighbor to get lost?

I just moved to a new city and the men here are very aggressive. I rely on public transportation and I go around the city alone quite a bit. The problem is men in cars honk, in the stores and on the bus they hit on me, even the cab drivers come on to me! I know it's because I am young, female and alone. I know I'm not the only one going through this... So, how do I get men to show me respect? It's annoying!!

Can you spot certain people acting as if they are so above others, snooting up their noses as if they were superior every living creature on the planet. You know the sort whose children have impecable manners (except when you encounter them, and then it's kind of a laugh off thing...as children will be children, but normally they are perfect little ladies and gentlemen) Those who would hire help to serve a meal for a few friends and family in their own home, but try to get others to perceive them as suzie homemaker. All the while, talking about their beloved friend's behind their backs with such venom and distain in online forums.

I see through these facades easily and do not buy into it...can you spot these pretentious, two faced people too?

I am suffering from heartburn and burping makes me feel good especially having a full meal. My Boss embarrassed me saying that it is an acceptable to Australians if someone is burping even if you said Excuse Me. I tried all possible things to stop burping but I can't help it. Please advise, my Boss doesn't like it and I feel humilated, descriminated and embarrassed. Thank you.

Say you are at a party at a friend's home and you use the bathroom. After using the toilet, what do you do if some residue remailns stuck to the bottom of the bowl. I don't mean actual stools but just streaks and spots. Further assume there is no toilet brush in the bathroom and that flushing again does not help. Oh yes, and there are others waiting to use the bathroom. What does good etiquette dictate in this situation?

I've asked around, some people tell me that this is waaay too big of a difference in age for it to work out, but when I talk to guys closer to my age, there's just not as much of an attraction. I go on dates with them and stuff, but never feel a connection to them. Obviously it's me that has the problem, and not them, they're decent enough people, I just don't find them intriguing or alluring in any way. I've been told "oh but if you date older, they'll become old guys!" So does everyone else that doesn't die beforehand, it's a kinda weak arguement. Anyway, thank you in advance for any answers.

i've been invited to an engagement party for the first time. is it customary to give a gift to the soon-to-be bride and groom?

if so, then what is appropriate?

the bride is my next door neighbor; and her fiancee is a douche bag from my rival college...

That's what the invitation suggests:

My wife is buying herself a nice dress and shoes, and stuff....

I want to wear new black 501s, and new brown work boots.

She's trying to make me go buy slacks, nice button up shirt, and black shoes.

This is for a Company Christmas party at the Flamingo Hotel.

I'm trying to tell her it will be fine wearing work boots!! They're new for crying out loud!!

Who's right here??

My husband's side of the family says it is, but I wonder if that's just how they always do it and not everyone does, because my parents never heard of that. Just wondering as I will be having a potluck for my son's birthday party.

My teacher told me today, that iron in cooking appliances can be not good for your health because pots and pans that we use to cook can have iron in it. This doesn’t sound safe at all, I know that iron is good for your health but too much of it can have some negative effects on you. What do you guys think about this?

She's like my boss too. But I can't take the fact that you can't ask her a question because she snaps at you. My boss (her mother/ owner of the company) also notices her rude behavior w/ just about everyone in here, and who she also responds to in a "bitchee" way too. But she's only like that with certain people, I don't know why??? I do my work and well, she's even given me a $150 American Express Gift Card for the great work I've done. Her mother (the owner of the company) tells me all the time, that I'm a great employee, and wants me to stay working with her till I grow old. But sometimes I do feel like quitting, because of her daughter's bipolar attitude, she's like that because she has problems w/ her husband and comes and takes it out on us. There are times when she'll lock herself in her office and cry all day long. I think that whatever problems you got at home, leave them there, don't bring them to the office. She's always talking about we need to be professional (go figure).

I am a waitress in pretty spendy place. Last Saturday I waited on a party of 10. 8 people paid cash and 1 guy paid 2 tabs, his and one other, with a card. The 2 tabs came to $160.00. He said "Here. If the people who paid you cash didn't leave you enough, put some extra on my card." I said "I can't do that." He didn't respond, which made me nervous. I counted the cash. The people who paid cash had left a nice tip for their share, which was about $160.00 as well. So they left $30.00. I debated adding money to his card, but I think it would be unethical on my part, so I entered the amount for the two tabs and gave him back his card. I felt so uneasy the whole time. He signed the card, left the "TIP" spot blank and handed it back. I never added any money to it. I felt really bad getting such a small tip on a dinner that was over $300.00, but I just didn't want to put something on someone else's credit card. It was so weird. Is this an odd situation for him to put me in or do others do this

Do you walk it back up to the front of the store?
Do you walk it to a buggy holding area in the parking lot?
Do you leave it wherever it was when you finished unloading it?
Do you look for someone to give it to?

I have a very physical job that requires me to lift and move things a lot.. so quite often my shirt gets untucked or messed up and my stomach or whatever will show on accident.. i have a coworker that i catch constantly looking at me where my skin might be showing, ill be talking to them and when turn and look at them they are staring there. Or i will be walking and i will turn around and they will be staring at my ***.... lol... so what does that mean? are they just looking to look?
Or does that mean something else?

Maybe it's just me, but why do people break the speed limit on purpose, and then if they get a ticket for it complain and moan, making excuses about how everyone else was going the same speed (sorry, they can't catch everyone); or the officer singled them out because they were driving a sports car (yeah right! *scoff*), because they are a woman, man, black, asian, etc.?
