i ate it afterwards it really tasted bad but i guess since it was less than 30 seconds i will be ok since it is a 30 second rule

You ever watch "Mythbusters"? There is no time rule..... once its down, its down. And are talking like a septic tank on rural property? That must of been one heck of a dive and in which case the filth of the gum is not the only thing you have to worry about. Maybe a shower would do you some good.
