My sister and I saw a car in the parking lot that was covered in bumper stickers. Two of them jumped out at us right away. One said, "Feminism is the radical notion that women are people." The other said, "Stop violence against women." HUH? What is this guy trying to say? And I can't even believe that first one.

I have heard you tip your mailman, garbage man, regular hairdressor, etc etc etc. I have never spoken to my garbage men, my mailman comes when we are at work so its the same with him. My hairdressor I more than likely won't see for the holiday season. I heard on the radio that you should tip the cost of a regular visit! It seems a little extreme, the whole tipping your garbagemen and how much you are supposed to dish out to others. Anyone actually tip to this extreme? And if you are someone in one of those professions, do you expect a tip?

I have been accused of being too lazy to do my own research. I have been told that teachers have no business on this site, that they should just know the things they are teaching. Personally, I am glad that there are still academic challenges in the school system, and that teachers like me are given new subjects to teach. I thought this was a friendly site, where people enjoyed talking about subjects they know about. Was I wrong?

Would it be considered rude or bad manners if I sent out with my christmas cards a deposit ticket and a postage-paid mail-in envelope for my checking account with a dollar amount already filled in? I was thinking along the lines of $500 or $600. Or would it be more proper just to leave the amount blank? I am afraid if I leave the amount blank the cheapskates will not send in enough.

i need to send a message on a bunch of flowers as someone i know has been mugged, but somehow 'hope you're feeling better' doesn't seem appropriate. Can anyone give me a brief message for the card which is more cheery and uplifting. thanks

My friend seems to be falling into...decay. Since her oldest daughter returned home her standards have really dived. They have a feral pig which someone caught hunting and it is sleeping in the bed with the girls. It poops in the bed even. They think this is cute. We think its gross. It is the law in australia that we kill feral animals, not make them pets, due to diseases etc. I have kept my mouth shut, but this really is horrible. This is an urban home, not a farm. Should I just say nothing?

Why should my right to free speech be violated just because other people can't handle reading anything that they even remotely disagree with?

I haven't reported but maybe one or two questions on this site, iff that, and yet my questions are dropping like flies just because the Yahoo! thought police tells me I can't think differently than the easily offended majority.

I often think of funny things and can't surpress a giggle, making me look like a nutter. Like the time my Ex was ranting on and i budged him so he's step in vomit but instead he slipped up and landed on his **** in Oxford Street,London. He was so mad and the more angry he got the harder it was not to laugh. I still think he deserved it though.

Be honest. I'm just curious.

the worst thing i've done was actually all in one day. before school i drank 4 beers and a shot of gin on a half empty stomach and then went to school, then about 3rd period, i ditched a period just for the hell of it and then at lunch, i snuck off campus with my friend and we bought a pack of cigarettes and then smoked a couple, and then the last period of the day i ditched also with my other friends and then went home. I could have gotten suspended for being intoxicated at school, a saturday school for ditching 3rd period, a saturday school and suspension for smoking and going off campus at lunch and then another saturday school for ditching 6th period but i didn't get any of that because i didn't get caught...not trying to brag or nothing. i just want to see what everyone else has done.

I mean it in the context of letting someone get the firm resolve that they should leave you perfectly alone, since you don't want anything to do with them.
I simply want to tell the person this, but she might find it too offensive.
Would you tell it to her straight, or would you try smaller things, like ignoring her, or excluding her from things?

The reason why I want to sever all connections with her, is because she is constantly making feeble attempts to compete with me, but is losing, and humiliating herself.
It's getting on my nerves, and I don't find it entertaining at all.
