Look at your first mistake and "dissect" it. What were the circumstances? Why did you choose the action you took? What were the principles for your action? Why was it a mistake? How would you have acted if given another chance? What principles would guide you to that better action?

(Principles like: I will choose "money plus peace of mind" over "money alone"; I will choose "a 5-day impression" over "first impressions"; etc.)

Next, recognize when an important decision must be made (job? relationship?). Do the lessons of your previous mistake apply? Use the principles to guide your action. Come up with two or three options for action that fit your principles. Choose carefully, then act.

Best you can do. If it's another mistake, then analyze: is it the same type of mistake? or a new kind of mistake? If "new", then don't beat yourself up. You're learning. It was the best you could have done at the time. Have no regrets in this case. Repeat the process for "mistake repetition avoidance".

Good luck.

It depends on what the mistake is. If your mistake was procrastination, then what are you waiting for. You just did it again.

I think the best thing is to live life and try your best. You will make mistakes and some of them multiple times, but don't let the fear of making a mistake make you hesitant to live life. Go for it!

it depends. sometimes we need to make mistakes a second time to remind us of how bad the outcome is and that way we can see more clearly what we are doing. i went back to an ex twice and i think it made me see clearer when i had a good guy in front of me.

Think carefully about what led up to the mistake. Then avoid any such future situations.

Think before you act.
Analyse your past.
Think of a past mistake, imagine you doing the correct thing and replay that in your mind.
