I'm torn here. I'm constantly doing favors for a friend of mine (like driving them places, getting up extra early to drive them, etc.) , but this person never even gives a simple "thank you". Is this me overreacting or is it rude not to give a simple thank you?

..thanks

Some people find it awkward when they are put into a position where someone is feeling unwanted or upset. I used to have a hard time comforting people, but now I've come to learn that it just helps to give a shoulder to cry on. What do you do when someone cries? How do you demonstrate sympathy?

This christmas, the partner (no relation) of my mother assumes that he can bring along to my house at our family Christmas, his sister and his sisters son who we only met once and do not even know?

I have been planning this Christmas for a long time as my own family is flying in from abroad and I want the affair to be "family."

My mother won't challenge her partner about him assuming he can bring his family members along and as usual it is down to me to just swallow it and put up with it.

A few months back at a family gathering at my house, my mothers partner bought along (without even telling me) a neighbor who he felt "sorry" for and I had to feed them.

If I say anything it will cause a family nightmare.

Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Men, if you were someplace where no restroms were available, and your wife or girlfriend had to pee, would you let her urinate outside (behind a car door, in an alley, behind a bush ect)? Or would you think that was disgusting, and tell her she had to hold her urine until she got to a bathroom? Would it matter if she had an emergency, or if she would have to wait a very long time to find a bathroom? Also, would you urinate in public in front of your girlfriend, and then tell her that she has to hold it in because you won't allow her to urinate in public?

Hi, please, your thoughts on this silly situation.
I've known a girl "Sara" since we were in elementary school together. We came to the same college where we remained friends. Eventually, due to our friendship, my roommate also became friends with her. Happily both my roommate and I were invited to Sara's wedding, so began the process of choosing a gift.
My roommate "Marcia" purchased something off the registry. I decided to put together photo albums and DVDs featuring pictures of Sara and all her childhood memories as she had recently lost all her belongings in a fire. She cried and cried over all her memories going up in flames. It took months and the input of many of her friends to compile this gift.
After the wedding, Marcia recieves her thank you card and I recieved none. I didn't really care until I bumped into Sara's mom in a store and suddenly she blurted out "Sorry about not sending a card, they were expensive so I decided to reserve them for the expensive gifts"

If she buys me a gift every year should I feel obligated to buy her a gift every year?? It's usually something under $50. I have bought a gift every year but I do not really feel like it this year (limited funds). Thanks.

If a woman is wearing tight clothing, or has a low cut shirt, or has low rider pants which ride up to show her thong ("Whale Tail")when she bends over? Does a girl have any legitimate reason to complain about staring - or should she just accept that, if she shows it, men will look?

My neighbors have gotten a new surround sound system & the base constatnly vibrates the walls. They leave it on 24/7, round the clock & I can't get any sleep. I have complained to HOA & they say they are taking care of it but that has been a week already. I tried calling the cops but they won't come by unless I file a report.

I do.
This Southern-belle is a hoot!
She talks too loudly, refuses to wash her hands after visiting the restroom, digs deeply in her nose, and examines the 'findings'.
I've gotten to the point where I can't associate with her...to any degree...'cause she makes me want to wretch!

i threw a temper tanturm at my orthodontist because i am 19 and have braces and the date to remove them keeps on changing. i was told i could get the impressions today and then the next appotinment i would get my braces off, well SURPRISE, the damn doc said i had to wait because one of my teeth had move, besides the fact that she was being rude and so was her assistant, i started sobbing and i kept demanding that i get my braces , and of course i threw a couple of cuss words in there and her assitant told me to not cuss because there are children around, i mumbled "well they are going to learn them sooner of later" than the secretary asked me when i would like to schdule another appt. for my impressions and i just fliped out , i started crying and swearing and i kept telling them i want my braces off, i mean i am 19, i dont want braces for life and it frustrates me that everytime they plan a date to get my braces off, something happens to **** the plans up.
