Unisex Gift Ideas For 50

I would go with something useful for work.

Purchase a nice nameplate for the desk with a business-card holder, with engraving, but leave the engraving to be done at a later date.

A nice paperweight or desk organizer could also be a thoughtful gift.

Not knowing the business, maybe it's something that's also conducive to a hobby like collecting miniatures or antiques from the way business was conducted in the past.

Just because it's work-related doesn't have to mean it's dull, so with a $50 budget, there are many possibilities.

Or a gift-basket of gourmet coffees and biscotti, if you prefer it to be more personal than business.

GIft baskets are great unisex gifts ---cheese and sausage, or coffee and cookies, etc. A spa gift is also very nice. Both men and women enjoy a massage or reflexology or pedicures. Books also make great unisex gifts, or you can purchase a gift certificate in the amount you want at Amazon.com. They send notice of the gift by e-mail or they can send it directly to you. Then the recipient can choose any number of things, because Amazon.com sells much more than books! A restaurant gift certificate would also be welcomed by either sex. They can put the $50.00 toward a lovely dinner, or you could purchase the restaurant gift certificate for even more. Sterling silver picture frames are also nice unisex gifts, as are LEATHER photo frames. Some electronic gifts are good unisex gifts, as are travel gadgets and gifts. For the latter, see http://www.firststreetonline.com/ and click on "travel gadgets."

Something I always like to get is a gift package of mixed cheeses, meats, etc., that I can put in my refrigerator and have to eat for fast meals and snacks.

Parties I have gone to people always like glassware for alcohol. Such as the glass beer mugs you can freeze, nice wine glasses, whiskey glasses, etc...

Another idea I have read about is $50 worth of scratch offs.

I would go with either a gift basket. Go to Sam's Club - they have a Godiva chocolates tower that is wonderful for $49.00.
