what i find to be fun is all of you cooking something for dinner (depending on the age of the children)....getting everyone involved makes for fun and excitement...if the kids are between 7 and 12 take the time to plan a kid friendly (adults must get used to the kids taste buds sometimes too!) menu like mini pizzas on english muffins, cut up fruit, smoothies and other finger foods are always fun....throw a blanket on the floor and have an indoor picnic, get some board games and interact! FUN FUN FUN!!

Get some penne pasta, cook as directed, a couple jars of Classico Vodka pasta sauce, pour over the noodles, put in the oven with some shredded Parmesan cheese at 350, covered, until hot through, serve with some bread, mixed salad from a bag.
Serve fresh fruit for dessert.

Tacos.... easy to do, and everyone can make their own their own way. You just lay out the ingredients and they come through.
You can make chicken or beef or even tofu... :)
