Yes, I know the greater good that came of it,however, I wonder if others feel gratitude but sadness also when reading the biblical account of the crucification? Its kind of like asking "well, Mrs. Lincoln, other than that ,how did you like the play?"

It seems that nearly every member of Christendom that I have met knows little about the Bible. Aside from what your parents and pastor have told you, most of you are entirely ignorant. Does this bother you? Or do you leave the work of dictating the scriptures in the hands of others so that you can relax and believe as you are told.

anyone here have experience with spiritual healing using crystal spheres? I use Rose Quartz spheres during my meditations and surround myself with them in my room as I sleep. I also wear amythist jewelry and amber too. Is there some other crystal I should be using or one that would be better?

The thing is, I never liked the guy, in fact, he was at least at one time very rude to me, and at best acted snobbish around me like he thought he was better than me. My boyfriend only knew him because he was a sound-guy for his old band a year ago. They were friendly, but not "friends". I know that people will expect me to be at his funeral, but it seems wrong to me that I should go when the only feeling I harbor for the guy is distaste (no-one that expects to see me there knows I disliked him, I hid it well). I'm not even sorry he died, I mean, yeah, sucks to be him, but I just couldn't care less one way or the other (I'm sure he has some family that misses him, and I do feel bad for them). So, should I go, and be holding back rolling my eyes when they give his eulogy (cause he was a jerk, and I know they will probably be making him out to be perfect in every way), or should I just stay home and send my boyfriend with a cake or something to give to his family?

Well, everyone has done a prank phone call in their life. And now I'm wondering--if you were to prank EMAIL someone, pretending to be God, what would you say? [Because of course, we all know that things would be much easier if God just sent out emails, instead of all these symbols, and speaking through people, and all that....]

You know, considering that it´s Saul of Tarsus and St Augustine et al that have written the rules of the game, is the jesus incident nothing more than a flag to wave at the faithful?

This is the Bill of rights for the Christian teens and adults who are sick and tired of the world taking advantage of you!! You have to make a battlecry account which is quick, easy and free if you want to sign it.

This is for all other Christians as well! http://battlecry.com/teen_bor.php

Not a Christian? Read it anyway and tell your thoughts!

A brand so rooted in habit that it´s now part of what one expects to see in the street and in the people´s speech? Could another brand compete if it started... let´s say... today in some remote corner of the world? What would it need to successfully replace the "jesus top of mind" for the world´s consumers? Should it prepare its market the way McDonalds does with the kids, thinking that they´ll be tomorrow´s customers?

Hey, Isn´t that what religion does already? Hasn´t the catholic church invented McDonald´s marketing techniques?

Personal background of me ... I am agnostic and I believe homosexuality is a genetic pre-disposition. But I'm curious... because I've heard of many things regarding homosexuality in the bible.

I've heard:
1.) Homosexuality isn't mentioned in the bible, but promiscuous sex is... and since the stereotype of homosexuals is that they supposedly have promiscuous sex... it concludes that gays are sinful.

2.) Homosexuality is directly mentioned in the bible and says it is sinful.

Please, no attacks. Serious answers only.

I am just wondering, are you totally closed off to the idea of being a Christian? Or is there some way that you could possibly become a Christian?
I am just trying to see from the atheists point of view.
I think that each person in the world would like every other person to conform to their own way of thinking. I believe this is because it would ease communication among people and each person would feel more secure knowing that everyone else is on the same wavelength. People with radically different beliefs than you become somewhat of a threat to you because you cannot predict the behavior of those whose beliefs differ from yours. Or if you are unsure of the other person's beliefs, then they are momentarily totally undpredictable. Or it could be that another's beliefs disagree with your own and you don't feel safe around them.
This is the way I feel about anyone whose beliefs differ from mine. I'm wondering if you feel this way and if this is the reason for the divisiveness.

fear their god?
I have never heard of any non christian group here say that they fear theirs. (Except for Atheists, they fear NOTHING ;)~)
I mean no offense, but it seems that if your god is supposed to love you, why fear them?

(and if I am wrong about the other non Christians, please correct me, I just have never seen it.)

Blessed Be )o(

I know Joseph interpreted dreams in the Bible. What do you make of this dream?

I dreamed that I came a peanut that looked beaten up...almost assaulted! The peanut changed into a ram, which then shed its wool and revealed itself to be a jet. What could this dream mean?????

And NO I was NOT drinking last night!

Let´s say that you live in Florida and that some guy knows someone called George, living in Seattle who sells his 2008 Corvette for $7,000. Let´s say that you jump on the opportunity.
You have no proof that George exists or even if he exists, that he has a a 2008 Corvette and that he is selling it for such a ridiculous amount.
Now compare this with Christianism, some guy clothed in black tells you about someone called Jesus that gives immortality and salvation to whom wants to believe in his existence.
You have no proof that a guy named Jesus exists, that he has the power of immortality and that he is willing to give away the secret.

Both cases are a scam.
If you go for the Corvette and get swindled, you can always try to find the guy that stole your money. If the story was true, you´d probably be showing off your Corvette on Ocean Drive.
If you go for the immortality stuff, you can´t go back to complain because there´s no return once you´re dead.
There´d be plenty of immortals
