I believe what you believe is a variation on our inherent need to connect to the divine. Why would I be mad for what you believe. The divine for me is the awesome spectacle of a sunset, of a piece of music, the simple laughter of children. Even the ability for great sadness is the divine. The incredibility of communicating with you through the medium of technology. We are the architects of intelligence. You and I are the divine creation. This is what I believe.
Does it matter to me how you percieve the divine which is love. When you feel ' wonderlove' for a creator I feel 'wonderlove' for creations sake. Not much difference between us eh?
Have a great day.

Natural selection decides which species die off more than which live. If the environment no longer supports a particular form of life, then that for will inevitably die without producing enough offspring. It was announced last week that this has apparently happened for a species of fresh water dolphin in China

But IF there is a mutation that allows for some improved adaptation to the environment, then some of those species will survive or better thrive.

The difference, then is that you believe that your God may create the mutation. That would make some since, if that were the only mutations that occurred.

However, just as most species go extinct, most mutations are useless or even detrimental. Plus the mutations often result in mixed results. For example, black people who have sickle cell disease are at an advantage in fighting malaria. However, leave malaria-ridden areas, and they often die from the mutation.

The NATURAL process simply better explains the phenomena than does a designer. A designer would be more focused and less clumsy, and natural selection is, in practice, an directionless, sloppy process.

Our idea of natural selection is a NATURAL occurrence. It is not "invisible", because to be invisible, you need to be an entity. There is a big difference between natural selection and your invisible man in the sky. Natural selection is natural...it's not a magical, mystical, supernatural being.

Natural selection is measurable with scientific tools. A good example of natural selection is antibiotic resistance. If you have an illness and are prescribed antibiotics, you are instructed to take *all* the medication for a certain number of days, even if you are feeling better. The reason is, if the infection is not totally cured, it can change and become resistant to the antibiotic. What happens is, the microorganisms alter themselves, taking on characteristics that make them immune to the antibiotic; this is the essence of natural selection.

There's significant fossil evidence to support natural selection. There isn't even the tiniest shred of empirical evidence to support the existence of a diety.
And natural "selection" is an unfortunate term as it suggests willful decisions being made by an intelligence, when it is in fact nothing more than the biological process of adaptation.

Natural selection is the title that is given to a process, not a being. What it means is that only the best-adapted members of a species survive long enough to pass on their genes to offspring, thus continuing the survival of the species. It's also been labeled "Survival of the Fittest."

A process readily can be observed, and is therefore not invisible.

Natural selection is a process. What do you think a process normally looks like? (I'm talking specifically about the process, not the results of the process)

On the other hand, your God is a being that supposedly talks to people and interacts with them.

1. its spelt invisible, not invisable.

2. Evolution is quite visible, you just have to understand it.

3. Get an education so you don't embarass yourself any more. If you can't spell a simple word like invisible, you don't have enough information to argue evolution.

Natural selection manifests itself repeatedly and reproducibly. There are numerous experiments you can to to verify natural selection.
