What if society decided we wanted to pass laws to give people to option to end some ones life after a certan age? How would feel about that? Let's say 80? Here is the scenerio...A man lives in a rest home at 85 years old and the children of this man do not want to support and care for this man anymore...so they decide to have this man killed....Think this is crazy??? Given a few this years and this may indeed be a reality.

I'm a recently became Catholic, after a particularly strenuous part of my life. In fact one of the major people that drew me to Catholicism was a certain individual; however, do to her leaving the country for a prolonged period of time we've begun to drift apart. I tried to speak to her online whenever I got a chance and she was up, and things seemed to be going relatively well until she came back to the states. Now it is like pulling teeth to even get 5 words out of her.

So my question is this, can I just cut the cord and wash my hands of our friendship. While I know that there used to be good times; those were a long time ago. This is one of my few Catholic friends, and I know that I will probably have to see her whenever I go to mass...so my question is what should I do?

I think so, They force feed lies to simple minded people, all the while sitting back and collecting donations. Who else thinks that this insanity either needs to come with a warning label or be shut down, I mean I think these people need to start showing credentials from actual accredited schools.

1. Can entities separate from God help us (excluding angels and spirits of the dead)?

2. Is it possible that demonic forces could help us in some way?

3. Are there any neutral spiritual entities? How would we know if they wanted to help or harm us?

Everyone is welcome to make a contribution, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Wiccans, Satanists, Pagans , Atheists (I don’t really want a debate about the existence of supernatural phenomena or the stupidity of religious belief), Christians (please remain open-minded and not too dogmatic) etc….

Please try to answer as many elements as possible contained within the question with some degree of elaboration.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Centanni

On August 27, the Palestinian news service Ramattan and FOX News reported[8] that Centanni and fellow captive Wiig were released unharmed, shortly after a new video was released. In the video, both journalists, wearing beige robes, read statements saying that they had converted to Islam, with Centanni stating "Islam is not just meant for some people; it is the true religion for all people at all times."[8] After being freed Steve Centanni stated "We were forced to convert to Islam at gunpoint, and don't get me wrong here, I have the highest respect for Islam, and learned a lot of very good things about it, but it was something we felt we had to do, because they had the guns, and we didn't know what the hell was going on."[8]

when i say irreligious, i'm not in any way just speaking of “philosophical skeptics" (aka atheists).
Truthfully, when it comes to people who would be deemed irreligious, people who are "societal christians" yet are not true seekers of christ outnumber atheists many times over.
now to get to the meat of the matter: i can't help but to see that people who don't take religion or christianity seriously very often fail to do so because they are too satisfied with how sociologically secure they are with their life to think that there is more to this life than the nominal piety they cling to.

I think that the quickest christian answer is to look at this as a so called spirtual "test"; that is, that it is with worldly comfort we may be blinded to god's calling for us.
It would really go hand in hand with jesus' proclaimation that
"...it is easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to gain heaven."

I just started a new job and I am in an office with six other women who all love to talk! They seem to talk all day long and I haven't been able to find any similarities to join into the conversation. My supervisor seems to join in with them like she doesn't mind them not working, but I'm unsure of following the crowd because I am trying to make a good impression since this is a job that I am really excited about having. I am essentially a quiet person anyway, but I lighten up when I get comfortable with people. Im usually a pretty fun person to be around, but these women didn't go to college and I am a new grad. How do I connect with them without kissing up to them and my new boss?

Really and truly answer this for me and I'm being sincere let me know why as a human race we are getting worse? When we are born as babies 85-90% of the time we are in perfect health. Correct me in all honesty if I am wrong but if one of the rules of evolution is that we get better as we go on as a human race why do we progressively get worse? To all my brethren out there really take time from this fast pace world and meditate and see why am I really here and how did I really get here. To me to believe evolution takes more faith than to believe in God because evolution has so many theories that you can poke really big holes into it. Stop being so heady minded and think of others around you and see how you were wonderfully and beautifully made. I see you all continually ( this America, this world) push ahead of people just to get their own way. Really take some time to meditate and believe on Jesus for He loves you so, beyond all human knowledge and thought. Thank you
