Really and truly answer this for me and I'm being sincere let me know why as a human race we are getting worse? When we are born as babies 85-90% of the time we are in perfect health. Correct me in all honesty if I am wrong but if one of the rules of evolution is that we get better as we go on as a human race why do we progressively get worse? To all my brethren out there really take time from this fast pace world and meditate and see why am I really here and how did I really get here. To me to believe evolution takes more faith than to believe in God because evolution has so many theories that you can poke really big holes into it. Stop being so heady minded and think of others around you and see how you were wonderfully and beautifully made. I see you all continually ( this America, this world) push ahead of people just to get their own way. Really take some time to meditate and believe on Jesus for He loves you so, beyond all human knowledge and thought. Thank you

Oh how i look and sob over you everyday and pray for you all before my Lord. Oh by grace He wonderfully keeps back the winds of strife for this earth. The calamities Satan brings to this earth are amazing but my God has infinite grace that keeps you and I. Oh how the Holy Spirit pricks you and open not the door of your heart to Jesus who loves you so. Oh i pray for the work and it will be done!!!

"Correct me in all honesty if I am wrong but if one of the rules of evolution is that we get better as we go on as a human race".

You're wrong. Evolution is not progressive.

Unfortunately, you've been taught the comic book "strawman" version of evolution, which has nothing whatsoever to do with real evolution.

"To me to believe evolution takes more faith than to believe in God because evolution has so many theories that you can poke really big holes into it."

No offense, but you're obviously not in a position to make that judgment. What you're poking holes in has nothing whatsoever to do with evolution.

That is utter bollocks. You have been fed total misinformation.

Evolution says that whatever mutations occur to make a creature better suited to it's environment or better able to breed will tend to be passed on within the species.

If a creature can produce 50% more surviving offspring, but dies in the process then that is more successful than a creature that lives a long and healthy life, but produces fewer offspring.

There is no belief in evolution necessary. It is a proven fact.

There are small gaps in the theory of evolution, which explains how the known facts of evolution tie together, but the central core of adaption to the environment has withstood over 100 years of scientific scrutiny intact.

How is your appendix wonderfully and beautifully made? Is it wonderful an beautiful when this useless organ gets infected and bursts?

How about the Onchocerca volvulus worm? Look that up and tell me how that is wonderfully and beautifully made.

There is a quote that is a incredible truism:

Nothing in Biology Makes Sense Except in the Light of Evolution"

Theodosius Dobzhansky.

Learn some real biology and you will realise that this is true.

Jesus may, or may not love me. He may or may not exist. But the reality is that the Earth goes around the Sun, and that evolution is a proven fact. No amount of faith can change these things. Learn to accept it.

to cbmultiplechoice: your point is irrelevant. Evolution has nothing to do with better or worse. it involves organisms adapting to their environment. Also, mountains are not living organisms, so why on earth would you try and apply evolution to them?

Now, to the question: Evolution, as has been said, applies to populations of organisms, not to individuals. Evolution also does not require one bit of faith. The empirical evidence is overwhelming. Our non-functional, junk DNA has so many similarities with primates that the odds of it developing independently, are less than a billion to one. The fossils are just icing on the cake.

Second, I don't see how belief in evolution has anything to do with belief in God, or in Christ. Just don't take the Old Testament as intended to be a literal history book. (Which you really shouldn't do anyway.)

Finally, there are no holes that have been poked in evolution, just a bunch of ignorance being spread by desperate individuals. You really should try and learn about the theory.

There is a disturbing trend of scientists, teachers, and students coming under attack for expressing support in the theory of intelligent design, or even just questioning evolution. The freedom of scientists, teachers, and students to question Darwin's theory, or to express alternative scientific hypothesis is coming under increasing attack by people that can only be called Darwinian fundamentalists.”

New Ben Stein Flick, Expelled, Blows the Whistle on the Evolution.
Expelled is a disturbing new documentary that will shock anyone who thinks all scientists are free to follow the evidence wherever it may lead.

evolution is not about things going from bad to good but regardless, why do you think that the human race is worse off now than before? You have obviously never studied history or anthropology or you would know that despite all the inadequecies of this world, we are better off now than ever throughout history. We live longer, have less diseases and are more humane.

"When we are born as babies 85-90% of the time we are in perfect health."
"...see how you were wonderfully and beautifully made."

Beyond the fact that your rant blatantly contradicts itself, you have misstated evolution. In evolution, that which survives, persists. You get both the sheep and the shark. Evolution makes no distinctions about bad or good.

Evolution refers to genetic changes between generations. The theory of evolution does not suggest that a single, specific organism should 'get better' as it grows older. So the health of babies compared with adults is irrelevant. However sick you might become, you still have exactly the same DNA you had when you were born.

Also you can't look at human evolution in a vacuum. The bacteria that make us sick are evolving too.

Your point is true about evolution...first nothing, then something (total chaos), then something better (primordial soup), and better (single celled somethings), and better(fish to birds), and now (millions of years later) humans. What evolutionists fail to admit is that in their "system" mountains should not be deteriorating, or my cabinets should not become messier because EVERYTHING in their 'world' goes from a more disorganized state to a more organized state. Please, someone show me anywhere that this is REALLY happening?

PS Elliot...do you realize that you have just proven exactly the opposite of what you are trying to stand for...you are so right in saying that we have 'the exact same DNA as when we were born' If I have the EXACT same DNA then I have to assume that my dad had the exact same DNA and his dad, and his dad, and his dad...get the point?...so how can evolution happen?

Swords...do you realize that you have just proven how evolution can NOT work??? When there does occur an adaptation within a species, like the one that you have referenced...it is DETRIMENTAL to that species? Just like the bacteria that all evolutionist quote about that have now become resistant to antibiotics. "See", they tell us, "Evolution at it's finest! Proof of evolution!" What they don't tell you is that if those same bacteria are then placed in an environment that has no antibiotics, THEY DIE!!! That adaptation has just become detrimental to that bacteria. Just lets REALLY imagine a dinosaur starting to grow feathers for wings. The first of this kind could have easily been killed by any predator and thus the 'genetic' mutation would have died before it even got a chance to completely change.

Heard of entropy? It's where a system tends toward a state of chaos. for example, you don't see a castle being formed from nothing, you see a castle being corroded, and example of entropy. also, did you know the male chromosome has been decaying in strength? Going from being as powerful as the X i think, but the Y has slowly being loosing it's strength.

The world appears to be getting worse for the same reason that the dark ages were created. It began with the crusades through inquisition and the destruction of all scientific knowledge.
