Islam says to stone the rapist. And the woman is free to live her life as she normally would. This does not mean that women are killed in societies where men run things and play the victim after victimizing somebody. It means that their actions, while calling themselves Muslim in name only, are unIslamic. What is your take on this?

During the time of the Prophet (saw) punishment was inflicted on the rapist on the solitary evidence of the woman who was raped by him. Wa'il ibn Hujr reports of an incident when a woman was raped. Later, when some people came by, she identified and accused the man of raping her. They seized him and brought him to Allah's messenger, who said to the woman, "Go away, for Allâh has forgiven you," but of the man who had raped her, he said, "Stone him to death." (Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud)

Slavery is wrong.

Most people today agree, that is except for much of the Islamic world. The reason why the vast majority of the Islamic world doesnt believe slavery is wrong is because Muhammad owned slaves.

Many people get this issue confused. For example, people who arent intelligent enough to understand the implications often say "Ohh Christians had slaves, lots of em!" or "everyone had slaves, big deal".

Let me clarify for people who arent very bright. In Islam, EVERYTHING Muhammad did stands as the perfect standard of human conduct for all humans to model...forever (that includes today and tommorow). Muslims take this very seriously, ever wonder why they grow beards or wipe their "end" with their bare hand...yep...its about modeling Muhammad to please Allah.

So the reason why you will sooner find theJimmy Hoffa than find a Muslim who condemns slavery outright, is because Muhammad owned slaves, as Muslims still do today.

It's sad isn't it. Did you hear about it on the news?

It was very very late on tonights news. I don't live in the USA by the way.

But the bridge collapse in the USA was first thing on the news, 6 people died.

Why do we hear all the sob stories from the USA, but the rest of the world hardly even makes the news. It's so terrible if it happens in the USA, we are all made to feel so sorry and terrible that this happened. Anywhere else, it's hardly significant!

Does anyone else feel this?

My friend Emma met a real life Countess at a big party for charity. Em thought the real Countess was so cool she wants to start calling herself Countess Emma or Lady Emma. She wants Lady Emma (last name) put on her Visa card too.

To call yourself a Countess or another royal title: Is that legal? Or illegal?

P.S. She doesn't want to defraud anybody she just thinks being called your Excellency or Lady Emma sounds too cool. I don't know what I think about it.

i use drugs in high school all the time and i find it helps take away the bordem and lets me get stuff done. High school is like a illegal drug store you can get anything you want either during school or right after. All people who say drug use is evil only take there opinions into consideration and dont give people the right to think for them selves and i find them disgusting.

What the worse thing is is that these so called "crusaders" for a drug free america sip on vodka every night while they curse all other drugs to hell

Can't proove that something doesn't exist if no one's decided on a definition of it yet. It's like you trying to prove that an idea I just came up with doesn't exist even though I never told you what it was.

education and/or relief of poverty provide public benefit, what will happen to religions' freedom of belief and worship if this Act is used to bleed them financially despite them doing tremendous good in society?

I work for a Christian charity that does massive amounts of social work - demented elderly, youths, drug/drink addicts, homeless etc. It does NOT prosyletise people it cares for but DOES help them due to its Christian beliefs. Imagine if someone uses the Act (saying the org. disagrees with current views on morality) so it must lose charity status. Secularists could argue it's not for public benefit by holding to Christian belief on abortion or human sexuality. Public views on morality change every year. Christian ones don't.

Yet what about religions that use charity status merely to make more money and increase membership? They exist. They need exposing but surely law should target them alone? Why use morality and public opinion as yardsticks? Hidden agenda?

I heard that if you want to see your gp you can only see them for approximately 7 and a half minutes. If you were really really ill you would still have to make the journey to see your doctor whereas approximately thirty years ago your gp would only be too happy to come out to you. There have been many changes to the gp agenda over the years and all the time it has a negative effect on the patient. I believe gp's of today get paid far too much money for doing very little. I would go as far to say that nurses in hospitals do more work and get paid far less than any gp. What do others think?
