Is it acceptable to walk off the beach, into a shop without a shirt ? In Australia most of us live close to a beach 90% but SOME people wear "Speedos" like skimpy briefs to the beach than they walk around all day with nothing else on, ie in Summer wtf ?

I don't know about Australia, but in America, most people should cover up as much as possible.

As long as there is known to be a pool or beach up close, people wouldn't bother whether you walk in your swimming clothes or not...

AND I don't know why some people want to wear Speedos!! They aren't entering a swimming competition or something!

If it is a beach-front business, unless otherwise indicated by a sign, I would say that it would be appropriate, as the business owner knows to what kind of clientele they are catering. Otherwise, one should make at least some attempt to cover up, though it can still be casual.
