I am 19 and during that time I have never seen a ghost or had any type of experience with one so I am extremely skeptical of their existence. Some people try to tell me about times they've seen one but it always just seems exaggerated or a coincidence.

Recently the question was posed "Are most people idiots?" The answer was a resounding "yes!"

Next the question was asked "Do idiots know that they are idiots?"
The answer was "no."

So the next logical progression is "Are you an idiot?"

Since most people do not know that they are an idiot, the answer will surely be "no". But we have to test to find out.

The last time this question was posed, it was removed. Aparently some idiot was offended. Don't be offended. Just give your best answer.

i believe in him, but answer the following:
why doesnt he go help the starving children in africa?
if hes so loving, why does he hate gay people? they cant help it!
in church, why do we drink the blood of jesus? its gross!
the 10 commandments, doesnt it kinda sound like a mom making up a story to make their kids behave?
if gods so forgiving, why does he send people to hell????

To say God is omniscient AND he gave man free will is a logical fallacy.

An omniscient god would know the exact thoughts of all his sheep before they were conceived. All of our actions would then be predetermined. If our actions are predetermined we have no free will. If we have no free will then God is responsible for all things evil.

If we do indeed have free will, God cannot be omniscient.

Mom is the guilt trip queen. She guilt trips me about not comign to visit her often, and my plans to move four states away. (1) she always put men before my brother and I (2) no showed at my wedding she says because her new husband instigated a fight with her and convinced her not to go (3) I finally forgave her and am civil and invited her to my husband's military retirement ceremony which also invloves me (sort of a second chance thing to bond) She sent us a gift 4 months before saying in case you couldn't make it... Guess what she made an excuse and didn't. (4) She started a war with her brother's/ sisters built a privacy fence between her house and theirs pissed them off then left the house to rot which was the home I grew up in. (5) expects me to call the home she shacked up in with her husband instead of my wedding my home. I am tired, going to school and working full time. Does she need to pull her head out of her *** or what? They have not once visited us.

Politely, I mean. You don't share the same beliefs, but if you claim the same label, "Non-Jehovah's Witness Christians" is a bit long, if you want to talk about "them" in conversation.

By mainstream I mean churches that express the Apostles & Nicene Creeds in doctrine or in principle.

Hey, I'm just curious: You're probably familiar with the Disney classic "When You Wish Upon a Star" from Pinocchio. Well, I've had a listen recently and I was just wondering where that particular expression originated from. Whether wishing on a star or falling star, it sounds like an old religious practice to my ears. Even if it's not, there's still some level of superstition associated with it. I would gladly appreciate any information on its origin and/or groups practiced by and beliefs of said group(s). Points go to the first reasonably thorough answerer. First reasonably thorough, meaning outdoing a preceeding answer won't guarantee points if it's much of the same information. Thanks!

okay this is sort of odd i know and it's not anything anyone w/ 1/2 a brain would announce over the internet but hey what can i say i'm a blond!?lol okay wow i can't beleive i'm saying this but the truth is i'm kinda like a medium if any of you know what that is it's like someone who can see hear and talk to dead people i can't just go up and start talking 2 them or anything but i can see them and hear them and i can tell you if something bad is going to happen b4 it happens like i c people dying in fires mostly but i can never find the person in time to save them and i know this is WAY out there but if any one is like me at all and is wanting to give me some advise it would be really appriciated because i am freaking out here! please help!! supernatural goddess

Ive been told by a few Christians that they are not allowed to dance, unless it is with a married partner at a wedding or event similar, and only if it is to music about God or Jesus. If this is so, then why do they throw music or rock concerts for teenagers? They also heve modeling and fashion events...... not so modest if you ask me?

Basically I am envyous of everyone I am short I am fat I am black I am ugly I dont really have any "friends" but if you were to say I have any its hard for me to be around them ones a model ones a aspiring sreen play writer and me I am just trying to go to school. On top of that I go to school in Thailand were the people hate black people everytime I go out I just feel so uncomfortable in my skin I hate my body and I hate being black I hate being poor I hate everything... And I hate everyone because they got it so much better than me and I know everyone is going to say that their are people in the world that have things a hundred times worse than me but I dont know them I know me and I know my feelings and right now I feel like I am going to die.

im 15 & my parents are divorced. I heard my mom & her boyfriend doing it. help! they are so loud! i tried going downstairs & i cant still hear it. no matter where i go, i can hear them. neighbors have been complaining about how loud they are. what should i do? im so grossed out! everytime he is over, they are at it. i cant play any music. im not aloud. i will get introuble. i dont have earplugs. sometimes at night, i wake up & hear them. they have been doing it for an hour & they still are. whats wrong with them. i dont want to tell mom this. help! im so grossed out! im never going to have sex!

I was trying to find out what Gerald Gardner said about the God and Goddess of Wicca and i found a Digital copy of his Book of Shadows on sacred-texts.com and he spoke allot about Phantasms in the "Casting the Circle" part of the BoS.

Can you tell me what a "Phantasm" is???

Is a rapture and an assumption the same?There are some people in both the Old & New Testaments that have been raptured,or "assumed," but Mary,the mother of Jesus Christ,isn't named as one of them.So,where did the Catholic church get that idea from,and who in the Catholic church started it?
