Luther was in the RCC which has it's roots in the Babylonian mystery religion. The RCC (you do know RCC is Roman Catholic Church, right?) had both political and spiritual power at the time of Luther. They held people captive at their whim.

Luther took great risk to his life going against papal Rome, setting the captives free from Babylon, a/k/a Mystery Babylon in Revelation.

witnessnbr1, if you meant your comment to me, I say that the current modern day churches have accepted RCC doctrines. The ecumenical movement is just now on the rise. Many things, through Jesuit infiltration, are a lot more RCC infiltrated than they seem on the surface. Not totally here yet, but it is definitely on it's way, and then they will have the control of what you buy and sell, underground though it may be.

It's from a treatise written by Martin Luther where he compares the Catholic Church to Babylon and the Protestant churches to the captive Jews.

Basically he's saying that the Catholic Church is evil and has enslaved true Christians.

This refers to the time when the Pope lived in Avignon, in France instead of the Vatican, in Rome

The catholic church is not Babylon, but is a part of it. Babylon is a greater scope and meaning than to narrow it to just the catholic church. After all, I don't have to be a catholic to buy and sell, do I?
