And i think it would be around 3-4 for me.

There are allot of mysteries in this universe that can be explained by saying a "God" did it.
But i don't think we should say that for Everything, Science is all about Questioning things, and If there is a "God" like figure I don't think any of the revealed religions have it right.
I think that this "God" would not be Zeus, Thor, Jesus, Shiva or any of the other Gods we know today.

I would say a 2. Im athiest and like most atheists have a very rational and logical explanation as to the origins of religion, spirits, the bible, and pretty much everything else.

It is not rational to believe in God because first of all, the Bible was written about 300 years after the death of Jesus Christ.

Second it would make no sense that whats written in the Bible, as in God created the wolrd in 6 or 7 days or whatever the hell it is..how the hell would the book have been written if man hadnt yet been created, there would be no witness to the creation of mankind, the universe or anything else. Meaning the Bible would have had to be written by God himself, which by fact we know isnt the case.

Third Religion was created out of personal curiostiy to explain our purpose and the afterlife. People wanted to believe that our lives had some greater meaning than just living here on earth and simply dieing. This was built upon throuch thousands of years of passed on beliefs that were manipulated time and time again to become the many religions that we now have today. That is why so many religions share so many similarities yet still have their own differences.

Catholocism has nothing to do with Philiosophy, thats just absurd.

10 - Protestant - Reformed

My response is where does logic come from. Why does everything make sense and fall into proper alignment. no matter what the dorks in the PhD math departments want to argue to get tenure, 1+1 = 2 in practical reality. If you jump, you will fall. Why does every little human brain get these concepts not from pure teaching, but applying sensory input.

I said hi to my 11 month daughter 2 days ago, she said "hi" back. How did she learn to say hi? Why does she always wave now when she says "hi." Is it pure conditioning? Explain the twinkle in her eye.

The only possibility for a universal logical construct is a design, and therefore a personal an omnipotent creator. Otherwise, good could be bad, bad could be okay, and hopefully we will win the lottery and buy a bitchin crib, because the rest is just age spots and Popov Vodka on sale until we die man.

-1 (atheist and growing stronger all the time if you catch my drift)

The more I'm on YA the more irrational I see that god belief really is. Some of these people on here have borderline insanity disorder. (yes, I made that up. But what else could one call it? Nuts? Crazy? not too clinical sounding. LOL)

There are many people on here who, when they write, sound perfectly rational. Yet if one looks at what they are writing it's clear they believe very irrational things. There is something majorly wrong with their mental picture. I really wish some psychiatrist would stop pandering to religious people and actually figure out a way to classify and treat the various kinds of religious delusions like the ones being expressed here at YA.

I'll split the difference and say 5. To say 1 may be over rationalizing and 10 is irrational, any number in between would be based on experiences and feelings. 5 has a nice agnostic feel to it.

Open to all beliefs. Nontraditional christian and part pagan - best description I have right now.

1 It is not rational nor does it need to be. I do believe in a common spirit that we all share.

atheist, because there is no evidence of god's existence and it is irrational to base your faith by relying on a book that was written a couple of thousand years ago by men who did not know very much about anything.

10 - Catholic

Catholicism is all about philosophy and reason. Just examine the writings of St. Augustine or St. Thomas Aquinas.
