Has anyone actually ever seen a ghost?

I am 19 and during that time I have never seen a ghost or had any type of experience with one so I am extremely skeptical of their existence. Some people try to tell me about times they've seen one but it always just seems exaggerated or a coincidence.

'ghost' = the visible disembodied soul of a dead person.

According to Ronald M. Berndt of the University of Western Australia, Australian Aborigines believe that "human beings are spiritually indestructible."
Certain African tribes believe that --after death-- ordinary people become ghosts, whereas prominent individuals become ancestor spirits who will be honored and petitioned as invisible leaders of the community.

No. No one has ever seen an actual ghost (according tho the above definition), because they don't exist, & never have. Several verses in the Bible describe what death is. These do not describe either a continuation --or, a transfer-- of life in/into some other realm. What Scripture describes, is a total cessation of life. Similar to pulling the plug on an operating fan... all of its functions cease to operate.

The question remains:
'Have all claims of ghost sitings been *entirely* made up?'
Not necessarily, for there are certain spirit creatures who are both capable & desirous of misleading people, by masquarading as dead people. They are also capable of making themselves seem nice & helpful, which only makes them even more dangerous to the unwary. At one time, they were even capable of forming material bodies so as to cohabitate with women. These ones still can 'appear' & pretend to be ghosts, especially to those who believe in them.

when i was a child and a teen, my siblings and i lived in a troubled home. we saw some very unusual things that could only be described as poltergeists and ghosts.

they were common enough to be discussed at the dinner table, but not an every day thing.

later, when i became a christian, I realized that these were manifestations of demons; resulting from much occult activity over many years in our family.

i was delivered from a demon at one point, and things became exceedingly clear that I had been under the influence of this deceiving spirit. (i had not realized that, until then).

Christ gives his followers powerful authority over the evil forces of these spirits, at all levels. (they have rank, authority and power, much like soldiers).

my brother, as a young teen learned this first hand when he prayed and experienced a furious deliverance first hand. as a kid with very new faith in Christ - he had total authority over a demon. The person delivered was also equally unaware of their bondage before the deliverance.

The Bible teaches much about this; and it is not a matter to be trifled with.

Like you I'm skeptical of them. I guess because I've never seen one. My 10 y.o. grandson said he did in his bedroom and the living room of an old house that was renovated and they bought. It used to be a crack house before the city bought it.
We had the house blessed with Holy Water and prayers. He hasn't seen anything again. I don't feel frightened staying at their home.
The only ghost I would welcome would be my brother that I lost 8 months ago.

I have and my daughter has. I have also been touched by a ghost. Very eery.

The man I saw was tall and in a suit. It appeared to be from early 60's in style. My daughter saw a woman in her bathroom in this same house. She screamed bloody murder like I've never heard before!

There are no ghosts, only demons posing as departed humans.

I have seen demons,as have others with me, including a friend who went into a screaming panic when I cast one out of the room I was in and it appeared in his room just above mine. What they saw frightened them enough that they became Christians.

Ghost does not in any respect exist. The question of everyone because of fact does not upward push up. frequently, at evening many thieves, docoits, smugglers & distant places spies seem in diverse guises to frighten & save human beings faraway from some particular areas of their pastime to paintings on their missions easily. in basic terms like no alien craft certainly existed rather, they have been secret agent planes of many countries & usa & erstwhile u.s. performed many secret atomic explosions in the better ecosystem in 60s & 70s which looked like shooting stars & human beings seen them as alien craft which under no circumstances existed because it replaced into disclosed on Discovery channel few years in the past. Ghosts are the rumours of vested pursuits for hundreds of years.

I never have. I don't believe that the dead come back, I think they're dead and in the ground until judgement day (or whatever). I think it's the devil. What better way to get people to do wrong things then pose as a loving family member back from the dead to give them instructions?
