Apart from Steve Irwin and kangaroos.
I was just wondering because everyone always says how ignorant Americans are; I would like to test if this is true.

Americans, what do you know (or think you know) about Australia?

I'm not asking this to offend any Mormons, but does Mormonism sound a little...ludicrous? I mean, Joseph Smith (allegedly) found golden tablets in a cave in upstate New York (if any of my facts are wrong, feel free to correct me, please) and read them with the help of "magic peekin' stones" (notice the quotation marks; I didn't come up with that.) Then an angel came down and took the tablets away and only the Prophet is allowed to see them now. Did I mention that Smith was an alcoholic? Just express your views and please keep in mind that I am against ALL religions. I'm not just a Mormon attacker. Catholics are next.

Is it something about royal blood marrying royal blood (ie., if a German princess married an English prince, she would become Queen of England when he became King, but if she were simply a Lady/Duchess/etc., she would simply be Princess when he became King?)

To label what we believe in?
To categorize ourselves?
I don't understand...why do our beliefs have to have a name put to them? What is the point of religion?

Historians say that The Garden of Eden is in Mesopotamia;the cradle of life/Babylon (the current Iraq).

If so, then why are there people living in that area? A cherubim with a flaming sword was guarding that place right? And even after the Great Flood, I don't think the cherubim would be affected by flood waters right? A cherubim is a high rank angel and angels are etheral beings, so physical water wouldn't affect them.

So, what gives? Was the cherubim decommissioned or something?

People will say that God cured them of their cancer. But why does He cure them, and not others? Is it possible that it wasn't God and just luck of the draw?

You might say, well maybe it was that other person's time to go. If that is so, why would the one who was cured get cancer in the first place? Why would God make them spend all that money on treatment if they were meant to survive it anyway?

What is your take on this verse?

Zechariah 2:10 (New International Version)
10 "Shout and be glad, O Daughter of Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you," declares the LORD.

Look it up in context if you need to.

The truth is nobody is good enough in God's eyes to get to Heaven unless you accept Jesus Christ and accept his free gift of salvation.

The Bible says all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. None of us stand up to God's standards. We tend to think we are good people according to man's standards.

For those who don't believe, please go to this website and take the "Are you a good person" test...I think you'll find it enlightening.

In the bible, it is so obviously clear that women are so much inferior to men. Whether it's in the OT or NT doesn't matter, the fact still remains that your "all-loving" God is a SEXIST! After all, isn't the God in the OT the same God as in the NT? There's no way that you Christians would be able to justify this fact! There's just so much sexism in the bible it's ridiculous!

Now you Christians would say that I'm talking out of thin air and refuse to accept this fact. You would ask me to provide you the verses. First of all, if you're a real Christian, you should've read all those verses by now, why need I provide them for you? But just so you won't use this excuse I'll provide you the page link which has the whole list. It would simply be too long for me to post.

If you've read through this whole list and still think differently, you seriously got some issues with your mentality.

I've gone to a Catholic school for 9 years. I just recently graduated. I'm very confused about the whole "Gay/Lesbian" issue. In these nine years, I've had over 12 different priests/teachers teach me about religion, and each seemed to have a different view on the matter. Personally, I have a few friends who are gay, and I accept them and treat them as equals. I hope that one day Gays and Lesbians will be able to marry. Is this wrong to think? Also, I've sort of pulled away from the Catholic Church (NOT GOD, THE CHURCH, please try to understand), because I'm so confused about so many things. It seems my teachers have mingled their political views with God, and I just don't know what to believe. We had morality class this year, and I asked this same question. I was told, "It's you decides your own view, but in the eyes of God we must love them and pray that they do not act on these homosexual urges." However, I was also told just a year before, "HOMOSEXUALS WILL GO TO HELL.

I don't mean just anybody off the streets, but like a family member, a friend or spouse and you were face to face with them but the demon was in control at that moment. Maybe a life or death situation, would you be able to kill them, remember, it's not the person themselves but the demon your actually dealing with.
