Get your priorities straight. This is a very important time in your life. This is the time in your life when you will become what you will be for the rest of your life. Read the Bible, especially Proverbs. Prov. 16:3 says, "Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established." This means, make time for God, and find and be obedient to His will, and He will give you wisdom on your outlook on life. Turn to the Bible for life's answers. Also read Prov. chapter 2. If you love God, you will make time for Him. And making time for Him will keep you from making decisions that you will regret for the rest of your life.

We all have to grow up and it isn't fun. First, let me say, your heavenly Father knows you better than you know yourself. He also knew the day would come when you would no longer think like a child.

When that day comes, you and only you can walk through the fog to find Him with your own heart. During that time, it feels like we've deserted Him but that's not so. If you didn't already love Him, you wouldn't be worried about it.

Now, stop thinking of Him is ritualistic ways and think of Him as your creator and your Friend. Friends stick by you.

You'll find your way. He has no doubt and He certainly won't let you go too far, without tugging on the rope.

Read the bible. Start in the book of John. You have to "on purpose" read the word. Set your alarm 1/2 hr earlier than u would normally get up and spend that time with the Lord.

We have to purpose in our hearts to follow after Him

And how can u believe in "real" angels and not guardian? What do u think angels are? They are here to minister and guard us and protect us.

God bless you, get in the Word and ask God.

I'm going to be praying for you and u let me know how it turns out ~k My husband and I are youth leaders and we talk to teens all the time about the Lord. Let me know if i can help

As we grow older, especially into adulthood, we are constantly incorporating new things into our lives that crowd out some of the more simple beliefs and concepts we have had. And Satan loves this time, for he uses this time to try to pry young people away from God.

This is an important part of your life, sweetie, and one where you really need to keep your faith in God. You can talk to Him throughout the day as you do things, you can read the Bible during breakfast, or lunch or before going to sleep. But you need to MAKE time for Him, otherwise Satan will convince you that you are too busy, or too tired, etc.

Listening to Christian music will help too, or sing Christian songs to Him in your heart. Stay with Him and He will stay with you.

I hope this helps?

hello dear: whether you believe in angels is not the point, many people arent aware of them..but they're still there.

Just Go back to where you left off, & go on...He'll be there, He is now, you're just less aware of Him,,Hop back on the train..

Find out which direction the Lord is moving in, & go in that direction. I have to Make myself spend time in the word sometimes, & i've been saved 26 yrs, ,,but i'm glad i do. It builds charactor,& helps keep us from sin.

Tricks of the devil to keep you from praying and being close to God. Soon as you open your eyes in the mornings, you should say a prayer to God for His loving kindness throughout the night. Oh and by the way, we do have a guardian Angel.

You know... journeys of any type are not supposed to be mapped out. Human journeys of intellect and spirituality can't be designed or really guided by others- if you want them to countermand your unconscious desires to explore life away from God.
I started studying different cultures and religions one day... and over the course of a decade, though it seems like it was yesterday I find myself a completely different person. A person away from god but accepting of humanity and human beings in general... and I'm happy. the latter of which is the most amazing thing because back when I was a Christian I too could not imagine myself fading away from belief in God.
I guess my real advice is to not resist where your mind wants to take you so long as it's not harmful to yourself or others. Enjoy your life and experience all that it has to offer.

Hey Bro, Some of these answers are really good... others are terrible. I don't believe that God is afraid for you to question your faith. I believe He loves the fact that you are seeking after what is true.
Everybody with any sense questions their faith at different stages in life... if you didn't it wouldn't be faith.
Seek what is true. All truth is God's. He has a way of revealing Himself to those who truly seek Him.

Maybe you're searching for the right answer. I suggest looking into other religions and see if there is a change in how you feel. You may feel really close to God once you decided on a religion. Or you might feel the complete opposite. But my advice to you is looking into other religions and talking to knowledgeable people who follow those religions.

You don't say if you and/or your family practice a particular religion. All I will say on that topic is that some human religions make things far to difficult.

I am Christian.

At your age, you are reaching, or may have already reached, a level of maturity where you can begin to account for your own behavior and for your own sin.

Remember, every single human being that ever was (except for one -- Jesus) failed to reach the perfection of God. Failure to reach perfection is sin. This is why God gave us Grace. Grace includes the Gift of Forgiveness, and Grace is what "blots out" our sin so God does not remember it any more.

Now, because of your emerging accountability, Satan is trying to get to you early to keep you from being devoted to God. He may be showing you all the "Cool Stuff" that he can offer you. And, to tell you the truth, these worldly things seem fun and exciting. What Satan fails to mention, however, is that these "Cool" things to do have dire consequences.

Here is an example. Perhaps you have already experienced something like this.

At your school, I imagine that there are people, maybe even students your age, who have access to alcohol. I am sure that if you had a mind to, you could get ahold of some yourself.

Satan takes advantage of situations like this, and tries to "tweak" your emotions. He is crafty, too. He doesn't go right up to you and say "Here, have a drink."

No, no, first he has to "soften you up". He might tweak your sadness emotion for a while, then pick up a little despair.

Hey, after all you are 13, and subject to the rules at school, rules at home. Rules, rules everywhere.

Then he will put in a little bit of anger and rebellion. You don't need rules, you can think for yourself!

Now you are almost ready! You have worked up a whole boatload of bad emotions and bad thoughts, and you just need to relax a little.

The pressure is just enormous. Did you know that vodka goes down easy and numbs the pain? Oh, sure, some folks turn into alcoholics, but not you. You can handle it.

And then, you are off to somebody's house who has access to vodka. Or, you find that bottle stashed away in some household cubby.

And soon enough, you are an alcoholic.

Which leaves Satan sitting there, pointing at you, and laughing! Boy, he got YOU good! What a dufus! Fell for it, and fell hard. Ha Ha HA!

See how Satan works?

You can counter Satan just like Jesus did. Jesus went into the desert on day after a long fast. Needless to say, Jesus was in a human body at the time, and his body was HUNGRY.

Satan suggested that Jesus command that the rocks in the desert become bread. After all, He was Jesus, son of God.

Jesus just looked at Satan as said, "It is written, 'MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.'"

When Jesus said "It is written" he meant that there are scriptures in the Bible that say this. So, Jesus resisted the temptations of Satan by quoting scriptures.

Next, Satan tried to use a scripture. Sure, Satan knows all the scriptures. He was there when they were written! Jesus resisted by quoting a better one.

When Satan tried to get Jesus to worship him instead of God, Jesus got irritated and said, "Go, Satan! For it is written, 'YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY.'"

This is your example. You can stand up to Satan and tell him to go away, talk to the hand, get a life, or whatever. Invoke the power of God. If you can't remember any scriptures, stick to this one at first: "GET THEE BEHIND ME, Satan!"

Through all of this, God will stand with you. When things calm down a bit, keep listening. God may be calling you to do something for Him. Be very careful, and pray about anything you may feel as a "calling". Satan can make himself look and sound like an angel or a holy being. You must develop "Discernment".

When you do hear a true calling, and choose to follow it, however, you will experience such joy. Joy is what awaits you when you follow the will of God. Even when things go wrong, the Joy remains. That is one way you KNOW that this was from God, not just some fake thing from Satan.

Things from God inspire you to greatness. Satan just makes you feel dirty and worthless.
