(I'm not a Trinitarian, but I don't know how to explain this.)

Like dozens of other Scriptures, Zechariah 2:10 illustrates metaphoric anthropomorphism.

(Leviticus 26:12) And I shall indeed walk in the midst of you and prove myself your God, and you, on your part, will prove yourselves my people.

(Psalm 46:5) God is in the midst of the city; it will not be made to totter. God will help it at the appearance of morning.

(Isaiah 12:6) “Cry out shrilly and shout for joy, O you inhabitress of Zion, for great in the midst of you is the Holy One of Israel.”

(Revelation 21:3-4) Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.

(Psalm 15:1-2) O Jehovah, who will be a guest in your tent? Who will reside in your holy mountain? He who is walking faultlessly and practicing righteousness And speaking the truth in his heart.

Why not just take it as it is? Why take it as a prophecy of Jesus or a fortelling of the Trinity becoming known?

It always amazes me of the effort people go through to link something to what they already believe.

It has to do with the Jewish concept of the Messiah. The Jews believe that the Messiah will come and end all wars, unit Israel as one nation, bring all Jews back to their homeland and turn the hearts of all men to G-d. The G-d will dwell among us all, after the building of the third temple. Death will cease, the dead will ressurect, and there will be everlasting peace.

This chapter is also talking about the exile, how the L-rd has scattered his people yet will reunite them eventually and will dwell among them in one nation as he did before.

It has been equally prophecised in Islam that Isa (Jesus) would come back to slay the dajjal (Anti-christ). However we believed that he played the role of a messenger/prophet and not as God himself.

It could be taken as a prophecy of Jesus. But it isn't definite enough to be useful as such.
