by my aunt because I didn't go to church. I responded that since my nerves would still be attached to my rotting carcass there would be no pain..............(she seemed to draw a blank). Anyway, is this considered rude behavior by Christians? You know that one about throwing a stone or something?

Why is Jesus's death so significant?
He suffered badly and died.... but so did a lot of people.... People cry about how God sent His only son to die for us, but how is it "the biggest sacrifice"? And say a couple months old baby is murdered.... the little baby's heart is still pure, meaning he died unsinful, how would u compare his death to Jesus's?

thanks for answering !!!

If the Pope, a few hundred years ago, when putting the bible together thought "well, even though we're using this to show people what the world was like before Jesus gave up his life, should we leave it out" and they agreed to leave the torah and the other Jewish books out would people still have such a hard time with Christinaity?

I mean, they think that just because we have the Jewish books in our bible that they think we follow them. I just don't understand it...do you?(also there ARE some churches that follow the old and new testaments, but most just follow the new testament laws)

What would he ask?

Maybe one question would be,
*God, why did I start off singing gospel, and end up singing about vain secular romances and worldly indulgence?*

Only serious, respectful answers. No rude commenst like Tarot is evil and demonic and from the devil.

How do you use that Tarot? Just for divination? For meditation? or for contact with the Gods?

the laws of the universe...sure they've been around forever and will be around forever...but isn't that what monotheists say about God?

Sir Isaac Newton "found" gravity a while back ago...should I stop believing in what he said because it's outdated?

Should I stop believing in homeopathic medicine because it was replaced by "modern" medicine(which uses plant extracts all the time in their medicine)?

I understand you don't believe for many reasons...but "it's outdated" shouldn't be a reason...

agree/disagree?

This is another question that's been dogging me for quite a long time. Because I'm an Atheist, I've generally been either pitied or looked down upon by those around me of different religion (mainly Catholics and Christians).

I've seen many people that are very devoted to their worship, some of which even reside on Yahoo Answers.
Due to the fact that they follow their doctrine so strictly and denounce any doctrine of a different nature ("Thou shalt not have any God before me", if I'm correct?), I'm increasingly under the impression that you who call yourselves pure and good look down upon me (and others who believe the same as I) simply because of what I believe.

Now I know this could be declared as a radical notion, and that I'm jumping to conclusions (and rightfully so), but it only makes logical sense from my point of view.

So, what do you think...am I inherently inferior to you and your clergyman simply because of what I believe?

I would like to find a religion thats suits me. I do believe in god and in my heart i believe jesus really did die for our sins, but i think the bible is overboard. I believe in the power of the human mind. I love to meditate. I'm not against homosexuality or premarital sex, as long as its loving and consenting. I am close to nature and mature for my age. i try to see god in everyone and will always to true to myself and the people im close to. I believe we can send out postitive or negative energy and i believe our souls will live on forever. I believe in aliens. I would never intend to hurt anyone or myself phsically, mentally or spiritually.
are my believes close to any religions? I have a desire for spiritual enlightenment, not some cult or fad. Can i please have some spiritual advice?

Moving forward along the spiritual progress creates the sensations we need to absorb and perceive "eternal joy." It cannot be any other way.
At the end of experiences of sufferring, the eternal joy becomes desirable to delight in it. We relate correctly to everything that happened along the way you suffered.
