Animals obviously have no need for our truths or laws. If we differ from the others only insofar as we can think and use tools, then we have no need to seek the truth of anything, least of all our origin, for we remain rooted in that origin. But are we ?
The answer is simple. Man differs from the lower animals, not in terms of compensating, rule making, tool making, or in any way you can think of, other than or aside from, his possession of consciousness. We alone have a consciousness that is capable of choosing between right and wrong, or realizing God, Truth, and the Absolute-or of going the other way and denying God in order to preempt His power for ourselves.
The Pride that denies the existence and power of God separates us from the Truth. We will be charged and found guilty until we succeed in finding the perfect Truth, or the perfect excuse.

Which would it be for you ?
Now, what say you all?

8o years ago more often than not family's lived like little house on the prairie, life was simple and good.I am only 45 but I remember going to my grandmothers house, there was a peace there with the people and the atmosphere , with deep regret I figure my 2 teenage girls will never get to feel the kind of peace and harmony with everyone the presence of God being all around.Because I have yet to find anything in todays world that we can call the good old day's.Will any of our kids in today's world even know what we are talking about. Can anyone relate to me on this. What in the world happened? was it my generation that decided to let the devil steal ,kill, and destroy the God fearing world we used to have.was it us that decided family meals, nighttime prayer's,church outing's,playing in the woods, self respect, etc. etc was no longer important if it kept us from living in the world that we now live in.Was it all of us,was it all beyond our controll.Have we made God almost non existent?

It seems like every time a question about God is asked, me or like 2 other people are the only ones standing up for God! Who else loves God like I do? Is this a yahoo full of atheists or what? Well I will continue to stand up for what I believe in even if im the only one standing. God saved me, and im pretty darn thankful for that! WHO ELSE BELIEVES IN GOD? If theres any smart asses who are just confused and following their own path, please dont respond. GOD FEARING PEOPLE ONLY. Thanks. =)

A forthcoming ITV documentary is going to show Jesus as Muslims see him through the Koran ie there was no manger, he is not the Messiah, and the crucifixion never happened as Christians would know it. My question is really to anyone who is an ordinary Muslim - how do you see Jesus ?

Source: http://www.guardian.co.uk/religion/Story/0,,2151358,00.html

Additional note: I'm neither a Muslim or a Christian, but it interests me the connection between different religions and I will definately watch this programme. I find it odd that 'Representatives from mainstream Anglican and Catholic organisations were invited to take part in the film, to be broadcast on Sunday, but nobody was available'

When a secular man tries to court a Christian woman, he must change his old ways. No more are the days of alcohol and late night parties; they are replaced with coffee and church. The following is a step by step of how to successfully woo your Christian lass.

Find yourself a good Christian girl. Good places to look might be church, local homeless shelters, and Christian music stores. A Christian girl can be found just about anywhere any girl can be found. Find yourself one who looks wholesome, innocent, God fearing, attractive, and single. You don't want to start a Christian melee over an improper courtship!

Be honest and be yourself. Just because someone is a Christian does not mean that he or she talks about the Bible all the time. Try to find out what you have in common rather than trying to be something you think she wants.

In an uncomplimentary sense, evolution would have you exist as a mere link in an endless chain, with bigger and more glorious apes yet to rise from the seed of your seed of your seed, ad infinitum. In this context, the best life you can hope for here is to live again, and a little better, through them, as expressed by the aphorism: "Your children are your future." But if we shall one day be they, who are we now?
We can have no special human identity as the "image and likeness of God'" for the spirit of ancient monkeys is perpetuating itself in us. How preposterous, utterly ridiculous and if you don't mind me saying outrightly stupid !

Do you still believe in it, after all that's been said ?
What say you all?

Allah's Apostle said, "Who is willing to kill Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?"

Thereupon Muhammad bin Maslama got up saying, "O Allah's Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?"

The Prophet said, "Yes,"

Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab). "

The Prophet said, "You may say it." ... (Sahih al-Bukhari 5.369)

Or do you believe that it is not a black or white issue? Personally, I believe everybody has the capacity to fall in love with either gender, but I believe that we are usually drawn to one more than the other. So, is everybody essentially bisexual to varying degrees, or is sexual orientation set in stone?

When she cuts her hair REALLY short, she still looks feminine (think Halle Berry, Charlize Theron in some roles like Astronaut's wife and Sweet November). If she cuts her hair real short and is no longer attractive, not manly looking maybe but just plain and not pretty, then that means she was never truly pretty to begin with.

If Satan was disguised as a human, and we are supposed to Love Thy Neighbor, Are we supposed to love Satan?

2007-08-17 20:00:36 · 35 answers · asked by Sandra B 5 in Religion & Spirituality

I get a lot of criticism from people because I believe my religion is God's true religion and that all other religions are less true or rather lack the full truth. This doesn't mean I hate other religions or discriminate against their members. It doesn't mean I think they will all go to Hell or anything. I just disagree with them.

It appears that many believe that all religions are true and that religion is simply a matter of opinion. It seems they take offense to the idea that God might have 1 true chuch and not many.

Is truth subjective?

If all churches teach different doctorines, how can they possibly all be true?

If they're not all true, should we pretend they are? Is that the politically correct thing to do?

Why would someone want to be a member of a church they don't believe is true? Or that they think just might be one of many true churches?

Wouldn't they want to keep looking for the truth?

I'm confused, someone help me understand.
