The Bible is the word of God in the words of men. That statement is entirely different from the saying the Bible is the word of God. There is some dilution there, so we need to discern what the human and the divine authors are saying. That is the opinion of the Catholic Church.

Fundamentalists will of course say that everything in the Bible, including punctuation marks, is the word of God.

very solid question, this continually comes up as quickly as I communicate over with my husband whilst he says this is the word of God. the actual words of God are the ten Commandments. And the words of Jesus interior the recent testomony. something is poems from human beings some unknown authors , letters to particular human beings and churches, visions and desires. additionally memories of miracles and human beings very own adventure that are in there to income approximately God and Jesus I actually have a topic with human beings asserting this is the actual word of God. If that became so why did no longer the bible drop out of the sky like the ten commandments that got here down. additionally why are not all the different letters and scriptures that the disciples wrote interior the bible. in case you incredibly have confidence each word is what God mentioned then you certainly could desire to carry on with all of it no longer %. and decide God bless. B.I.B.L.E. undemanding classes. earlier. Leaving. Earth.

The idea is that God "channeled" his ideas through man. But with regards to man interpreting God's message, the belief is that God's communication was so strong that man didn't do any interpretations. But I've had the same thoughts as you. I think that man may have slipped in some social messages that were relevant to them during that period of time, but the root message from God was untouched.

Yes it was written by man, but inspired by God.
And many flaws, by today’s standards.
How can this be?
Well it’s like this.
You know Jewish people don’t pork, but did you ever wonder why.
Well it’s because pigs back then, before any Bible was written, were a hell of a lot dirtier.
Now the Jewish people understood that they get sick if they ate pork, but didn’t really know why (they didn’t know the science behind it).
So they write it down, that it is the will of GOD, that the Jewish people not eat pork.
This is their reasoning that it was inspired by God.
Now using this as an example, you can understand more bizarre logic that is in the Bible.

2 Peter 1:20-21 "Above all you must understand that no prophcy of scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man but man spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." Does this answer your question? God inspired ordinary people to write his word. But it is from him. Therefore we can correctly say 'God's Word'

It is common for secretaries to write letters dictated by there bosses.
Often the secretary may slightly alter the letter to give correct grammar etc , but the boss has complete trust the message as a whole is exactly as he intended it.

When God inspired the Bible writers to do the task of writing the Bible by inspiration this ensured complete and accurate writing of Gods message.

The Bible is trustworthy and can be relied on.

They are passages in which God wrote part of it, such as the ten commandments. Most of the bible was written by men inspired by God. Revelations and messages brought by angels are examples of it.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

How can a child ever speak in the name of his father? The Father loves to extend his purposes and tasks to the child, that is how human families work, and that is how the Family of God works. He loved us more than to just drop some sacred scroll out of the sky. He wanted his children to be joint-heirs with Him, and part of that involves the heart-breaking humanness of men writing God's Holy word. It's actually really profound, if you think about it.

Although it was man who wrote it , it was God who put into their minds what to write. But I am sure you have heard this many times before.
