We show our love to God by loving and serving our fellow man. (Love thy neighbor).
Trying to be the most spiritual one in your group at church is somewhat meaningless in gods eyes. He wants to see how you live OUTSIDE the church walls.

That there should be no religion:
Acts 26:5
Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
Galatians 1:13
For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
Galatians 1:14
And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.
James 1:26
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
James 1:27
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
So many people out there including myself at one time believed that my religion was all about what I could do for God. He requires nothing of us except to love...to love Him and to actively seek His face through His Word and to love each other. Anything else if vain self glorification..even coming here with the wrong motives to "preach" either for or against religion is a wasted act of futility if it is not done with love.
So the best lesson I have learned from religion is to let go of it and let God set me apart as a loving member of the Body of Christ and that the Holy Spirit is the source of where all true love, faith, hope and good natured peace filled non-judgemental chairity comes from. Not ourselves. Love to you in Christ Jesus, My friend. ~J~

I was a believer, nothing strong but I was pretty sure that there had to be a god. Then six years ago this week my daughter was taken from me. she had only been on earth 36 hours. At her funeral the priest said "let's celebrate her life, we can be happy she is with god, god moves in mysterious ways" etc etc. From that day to this I have no faith. Never will have. Don't want it. Yes I respect others faiths, it's their choice. Me? What lesson did I learn? No god would let that happen. In my life now I have just me and my children, that's more than enough.

Well, I am a witch. My religion has taught me how to achieve my goals and get whatever I want. It has also taught me how to deal with normal and even seemingly over-powering stress!
It has empowered me to the point where that I know NOTHING is beyond my grasp.

Too much what my religion has taught me but the result are :
Strength,
Courage,
Self respect,
Knowledge : There are somethings I can and should do and there are lots of things that's beyond my time-my will-my capacity and my capability.

My religion has taught me that I am saved by the grace of God through the sacrifice of Jesus. It has taught me to forgive those that have wronged me. It has taught me that once I have forgiven that person to forget what it was that I have forgiven him for. If we do not forgive others, God, in His righteousness, will not forgive us. It has taught me to pray, not just to ask the Lord for things, but to thank Him for the many blessings He has bestowed upon us.

you know i had a work accident , about 12 years ago , two things happened in this time , one was that the injury , i suffered , was a serious one , , and so i had to fight the insurance for 10 years in order that they would call it a serious injury , , i lost in every court , going but one thing i held onto , was my belief in God AND ALSO to hang onto my faith in him , When one is fighting these people in courts , they do not have the faith to believe you , in what you are fighting for , i.did , and in the end , after 12 years , i won , the serious injury case. my faith in God is strong , The other one was in 1973 . our first Son was born , but he had massive brain damage , and went on a life surport machine . but i wanted to get 3 independend specialist in , to make sure , i did and they all agreed that my SON had bassive brain damage and would have to be brain dead , with only a life surport machine keeping him alive , I want to tell you that i had decided with the wife to turn of the the switch , but before i did this i want our son to be blessed and have the rights , so i went to a chatholic priest and ask him if he woiuld do it for me , . stright away he said no , as i was breaking 1 of the the ten commanments , which is thou shall not kill , this is where i nearly lost my faith in the church , he would not bless my child , or say a any prayers ,so i went to the COE VICAR AND HE SAID YES HE WOULD , SAY A FEW PRAYERS WITH US AND MY Son , what my religion taught me after that , as we lost our second child to , , but what it taught me , is to believe in my self , have faith , and kepp saying to my self THAT THEIR IS A GOD who looks after us , .This is what i taught my other 4 children who are all adults now ,if you believe , then you will found faith , and when you find faith , you will be Positive within your self .

That even though we are ALL a "work in progress" and some of us need more work than others, we are ALL still loved to distraction by a Being who thinks each of us is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Love thy neighbor. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Judge not lest ye be judged. To sum it up just try to be a decent person to yourself and others.
To hate you are only destroying yourself. You will reap what you sow!! Have a Good Day! ......lol
