because Jesus is God, and He didn't have to do it...He did it because it was the way to cleanse us from our sins. A baby does not make a conscious choice to die----BIG DIFFERENCE. Jesus CHOSE to die so that we could be reconciled back to God after our separation from Him. Sin separated us from God. He loves us so much, He made a way for us to return to Him...really an incomprehensible, loving gesture that no human can fully understand.

You have to look at this in a relgious context as well as a moral/social context. He knew that he was betrayed and that he wouldn't get a fair trial, and that he would likely die in a very nasty manner. He also felt fear and had the opportunity to flee. Yet he went willingly to his death knowing that he was dying for the misdeeds of others and not his own misdeeds.
He also knew that Had he not gone people would still have called out for blood to be spilled, and that his followers would likely have been rounded up and killed in his place. Even if you don't believe in the religious bits (which is your right), that's pretty noble. It's like a wrongly convicted man going to the electric chair in order to save a friend from being wrongly convicted, too.
"a couple months old baby is murdered.... the little baby's heart is still pure, meaning he died unsinful, how would u compare his death to Jesus's?"
Having a pure heart isn't the same thing. According to the Old Testament a newborn baby isn't 100% innocent (in a religious sense, at least) because they have inherited some part of the legacy of Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden (the original misdeed by mankind in Genesis). The New Testament says that Mary was born free of this and thus that she was 100% pure.
It might not seem right to you, but it's still an important belief to many people.

When the Priest of Israel offered up the blood sacrifice of bulls and goats each year it represented the sacrifice to come when the Messiah would give His life on the cross. This Messiah was Jesus the Christ (Messiah). The death of Jesus satisfied God's requirement for the punishment of sin. Since the sin of Adam in the Garden of Eden the curse of sin has been upon mankind and there was no remedy for this. The punishment of sin was not paid until Jesus died on the cross. Imagine that the world is on trial and God is the judge and He says you are guilty and must suffer eternal seperation from God unless a perfect, sinless person takes your place. Jesus Christ stepped in and took that punishment for us. Jesus Christ died so that we may live. Because he does live we can also live. I could go on but that is the basics of it.

Jesus is God's only Son and Jesus is God. God created us all and for some reason loves us beyond our understanding. God's Son Jesus became a human like us and to show his love for us, followed His Father's will and suffered so he can bridge mankind to His Father in heaven. Remember Jesus came to fulfill the old testament; the bible and it's prediction that a Christ would come to save mankind. There is no other Redeemer! The important thing is Jesus is God and was not created by humans but by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Trinity) Jesus came to take little babies and us to heaven after we die. But we must die to this world. Not on our own, but when we successfully complete His command to show love, forgive, and love God above all things that the world provides. Babies are human and not part of redemption. God knows babies and our hearts but give us the chance anyway to know him and love (Jesus) him. There is no comparison to Jesus!

You need to remember that Jesus is God. He was here in a human form like it is promised in the Bible. John 1:1 tells about it. Jesus is the word that became flesh. Jesus was the perfect teacher and the perfect example. He did what He came to do, He fulfilled the Bible prophecy.
The significance is that He conquered the death. He is ale to wake us up too. He keeps His promises.
What comes to the died babies, they are instantly in the presence of the Lord. God protects all children and alike until the age of accountability. This life is ot all there is. Eternity is a long long time. : )

It's just a hook to get people to be Christians.
It basically boils down to :somebody ate a fruit that God told them not to, and Jesus took the punishment a few thousand years later, wiping the slate clean, so we have to thank him, officially, by becoming a Christian, then you also have paid the price..
A truly remarkable, and silly idea.
If you're new to wondering about all this mumbo jumbo, and why it is so significant, you are in for lots of exasperation.
Your particular question is one that is agonised over by Christians as it blatantly is unfair and cruel to suggest that people who have never even heard of Jesus, including sinless babies, are not "saved".
I look forward to the answers to this innocent question, there are quite a few versions.

The little baby never suffered temptation's of the flesh as Jesus id, nor did he give up his life willingly. and the idea of Jesus' death was that god and Human beings had been drifting apart for centuries so the idea was that Jesus would give his life as a human and our debt to god would be repaid and we'd be friends again (alot like the Narnia stories by CS Lewis but far less entertaining) unfortunately the end of the story was supposed to be that the Apocalypse would come and all the Jews would be saved thanks to Jesus sacrifice.... didn't really work like that in the end though did it??

He didn't just suffer and die like most people do.
He literally conquered death, overcame its power so that WE didn't have to die. If we are born again in Christ, we become born of the Spirit, and that means we never die. Not only that, but because of what Jesus did, we get to have a relationship with our Father in Heaven. His death reconciled God to us!
Not only that, but he was the only person on earth who was ever COMPLETELY cut off from God, His father. All other people are still connected to God no matter what they do, but Jesus had to undergo being completely abandoned by God, descended into Hell, defeated Satan, and then rose again. So Jesus, a sinless man, had to be cut off from His Father for us. THAT'S why it's such a big deal =)

It ended the blood letting sacrifices for sin which prevailed during Old Testament. This was the one full and final sacrifice for the sins of the world for as long as this world lasts.
A little baby's heart is not pure and we are all born sinful.

Jesus' death is very significant since it symbolizes that God's love is stronger than death. God sacrificed His only son, Jesus, just to redeem us from our sins.
Comparing it to a child, you can't say that every child is pure since the Church says that all people was conceived with original sin (coming from the sin of our first parents: Adam & Eve).
