by my aunt because I didn't go to church. I responded that since my nerves would still be attached to my rotting carcass there would be no pain..............(she seemed to draw a blank). Anyway, is this considered rude behavior by Christians? You know that one about throwing a stone or something?

Your aunt who seems to care a great deal for you was trying to give you a warning. And you disrespect her like that. Unless she, no take that back you have no right to talk to any of your elders like that, some of the problems we have with today's youth. Constant disrespect of your betters.
Your aunt was right YOU will burn in hell. Jesus described Hell as found in the Book of Revelations 20:11-15 "Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death aand Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."
Jesus also said this in the Book of Matthew 5:29 " If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of body than for your whole body to be thrown iinto hell."
You ought to go and make ammends with your aunt for looking out for you, and trying to save you from an eternity of torment.

Ok, I think your reply to her was actually funny. I don't know if it's because I've spent so much time in R&S or not.
However, who are we as Christians (yes I am one) to pass judgement on you and tell you that you are going to hell when we don't really know for sure where we are going?
There are so many interpritations of the Bible. My interpritation is that we (those worthy of heaven) will live our next life on the new earth God is going to create. Why else would he be creating a new earth?
And, that those "worthy" of hell will continiue to live on this earth. Satan is already in charge down here anyway, why not just let him stay?
However, does anybody really know?
Let's just stop the name calling and the insinuations that anyone who doesn't agree with what one has to say is "stupid, crazy, etc."
Anyone on here can find a web site to prove or dis-prove their own theory. Am, I right?

Peace Out---do I sound cool or what? : )

What do you want? To know if your aunt was right ? Justify your response? bolster your decision?

This is really hard because we don't know your auntie. Just because she didn't give you a better biblical response doesn't make you clever. Or perhaps you want a well done because you feel you confounded her? Or you just feel superior and want others who agree with you to know.

As you have said your aunt isn't a very nice person I would like to say. Nasty people do exist and will use what ever they have to hand to put others down. Fact..... Thanks for the clarity.

It might have sounded a bit rude or religious, she's human like everyone else, but I guess it was just her way of warning you. From what I've heard hell isn't nice either - and there is no polite way to put it. So take this as a second warning from me. You don't have to go there. Jesus wants to have a relationship with you because He loves you. Any of us could die tomorrow, you know, we just don't know. Just like that.

Well, for asking this question you are going to burn in hell,
but maybe not.

Personally, I view hell as a place for me to avoid, if you feel that way or not, that doesn't matter much to me. I have though told people that they belong in hell, but to be sure, they were others Christians. Never any non-Christians.

I'd say it's rude. Wow people like that need a reality check-- no one can prove we're right or wrong in our beliefs, and if God did exist, would he really be that cruel?

Ignore her, just smile and back away slowly...

To imply that anyone is going to suffer forever after death, is a lie. Death is the utter cessation of life, not a transfer to some other life-form. Further, eternal torment is a myth.

I think it's arrogant and cruel to tell someone they are going to spend eternity in torture and pain, and then just sit there and look at you. What kind of a Christian is that?

If she's your aunt and she isn't just some dumb, judgmental biotche who means nothing to you ... why wouldn't she say that with some compassion and concern for you , her nephew?

That's the limit of selfishness; to point a bony old finger at someone else and curse them to hell. (Not that I believe in hell). It's people like THAT who should have reserved parking in Purgatory!

I drew a blank also about no pain when your nerves are attached to your (rotting carcass) Gee, I don't think she was being rude, she has not progressed and was probably told the same when she was young.

No, there is a difference between "Christians" and followers of Jesus. Christians tend to be judgemental and self-righteous. Jesus hated judgemental and self-righteousness behavior. People who try to model their lives on Jesus often have little time for "Christians". Hope this helps.
