Moving forward along the spiritual progress creates the sensations we need to absorb and perceive "eternal joy." It cannot be any other way.
At the end of experiences of sufferring, the eternal joy becomes desirable to delight in it. We relate correctly to everything that happened along the way you suffered.

The "Creator" does not force anything on His creations. Other than that there must be opposition in all things.
