I am still in the RCIA and my Boyfriend is a non Christian. But we are getting married this coming Decemeber and I am still a Catechumen and my Sponsor told me to held my weding in the Church and the worse things is that I have not attend the Marriage Preparation Course or the Engaged Encounter and have not inform my church 6 months before. If I am still a Catechumen can I wed in the church or is there any other solutions?

Those who are truly lost follow some God to enslave them. Thinking for yourself allows you to clearly look around you, to not have that tainted lens that is religion. My question for you is: Do you really think for yourself?

I am a married Christian woman with a 1 year old son.

I have this .... problem? That I love my husband more than anyone or anything in the world. Our relationship is amazing. Our sex is great. The problem? I find women extremely attractive. I have no desire to look at men (which is great, as I think my hubby is the best looking man in the world) but I am sexually attracted to women.

I guess I'm just looking for thoughts?

Is it possible that God came from outer space. With the advance technology, they create us through the mixture of them and the 'monkey'. Here's the deal. On one hand I hear that evolution is only a theory (not fact) that has absolutely no evidence to support it. I hear that it is just as much a faith and religion as any other crazy creation myth. On the other hand, I hear that almost all (if not all) evidence against evolution and for biblical creationism is either a gross misunderstanding, or a gross misinterpretation of existing facts. I also hear that evolution is virtually uncontested in the science world, and that no scientist disagrees with it.

My question is how can I, not a scientist and not connected with the scientific world in anyway, be sure who's telling the truth? I don't doubt that people on both sides say thy are telling the truth (or atleast think they are), but obviously someone is lying. How can I discover the truth?

I will also be posting this question in the Biology board. I think the responeces should be interesting.

Wars and slavery these days are based almost entirely by the value we place on certain resources. Diamonds, oil, grain- these are not worth any more than the rocks in my garden according to reason.

There is one giant assembly of people that are supposed to see this as a matter of fact, yet don't.

Answer this- if Christians all over the world actually acted like they believed in what they say, would this still be a problem?

The story is about a pig the farmer brought the pig into the house, He gave it a bath, polished his hoofs, and put prefume on him, put a ribbon around his neck, and put him in the living room. The pig looked fine. He almost seemed to be acceptable to society and to frineds that might come in, he was so frest and clean. He mad a very nice and companionable pet for a few minutes. But as soon as the door was opened the pig left the living room and jumped in a mud hole. Why? She would ask me. I would like to hear you answers, then when I pick I will tell you what she told me.

How can I explain the importance of the Blessed Mother to non-Catholics? Why is she such an intrinsic part of our faith? Why is it good to pray for her intercession?

Recently, some non-Catholic Christians attended Mass with me for the Feast of the Assumption. They said that they didn't necessarily rule out that Mary assumed into heaven. They just don't see what difference it makes. They just say, "Good for her, I'm still only going to pray to Jesus." So I really want to be able to intelligently explain to them why the Blessed Mother should be prayed to and venerated.

Non-Catholics: Please stay out of this one. Leave your comments about our "distorted view of Mary", our "statue/idol worship", and our "worship of Mary" out. You will not tell me anything I haven't already heard. I respect our differences, but I am not interested in discussing them in this question.

Im a 32yrs young African-American male. I was born and raised on an airforce base and both of my parents are still together. I was educated in private schooling all the way from elementary to university. I have no crminal background, I don't sleep around, I dont have any kids. I love Indie Rock music (Sloan my favorite band). Im pursuing my acting career. I speak with correct and proper English but yet it doesnt seem to matter. My own people will say I'm "acting white" and yet non-blacks will say.."wow your different". Which infuriates me. As if im some kind of genetically mutated lab rat. Do I really live in an adolescent society or am I considered crazy for not bowing to these sterotypes? So actually I have about two questions there. Can someone elaborate? Sorry if the first part sounded like a persoanls ad.
