If by spirit you mean the part left over after someone passes then these come in two forms. One is a representation of what they looked like when alive being one of 'self image' so they can look younger, older or whatever they want to project.
The second is as a ball of light which can be of varying colours.
It does not take much training to be able to see either of these.
If you're referring to the rest then these can come in all manner of representations. I have seen everything from a basic man shape to a tall blue skinned being. Some even look like the classic representation of Christ complete with the white robes and beard.

Translusent and less dense than the Demons and fallen Angels that I saw. The more evil these spirits were the darker they appeard.Like a shadow but thety manifested themselves so that they made sure I saw them. And I could feel there presence and the more evil the more desernable they were.Do you want to now more Just ask. No one else wants to hear. The gift of desurnment.

Small stature (about 3 to 4 feet tall). Greyish coloured (variations, some are a pinkish hue (the females I guess). Large head with huge black eyes. No nose, only nasal slits. Long slender fingers with claw like things at the end. Causes people to be paralyzed and mess around with genitilia.

absence of light, a dark hole with eyes, the bad one. Then the good one, a light as the moon, with the out line of a man, but 9 ft tall. I hope this helps you find what you are looking for. I do believe in the spirits that travel the world, both good, and bad.

Its my best friend who died. When hes there there's the smell of parma violets around me, he used to eat them. Some lady saw him and said he looked like the real person he was when he was alive. He told her he was sorry for putting family and friends through hurt. He said he wondered "what is this place" when he first went over the other side. He said hes happy now and at peace. The lady told me he said those things to me but i cant see him,there's just the smell. It just happens sometimes, and he doesn't stay around for long.

i once saw an evil spirit when i was at my moms friends house. It was hunched and dark ,no face, no details just a hooded spirit that passed by that window.. shivers!

i was laying in bed in the dark, the hallway light was on and it floated out of the hallway into my room, past the dresser went to the wall beyond and disappeared. it looked like mist or fog and was about as big as small child. not walking...floating.
