The caste system usually refers to the social divisions in Hindu culture. The highest being the priest class and others including the military and the business castes.

People are generally required to marry within the caste that they belong to.

The caste concept can be expanded to include structures like Upper, Middle and lower classes.

A Protestant is simply the follower of a major division within Christianity, one that split off from Catholicism under the direction of Martin Luther (hence the sub division with Protestants of Lutheran) Others within this group include the Baptists, the Salvation Army etc.

No because in the caste system you are seen as low or high and in the Protestant belief we are all equal in the eyes of God.

The caste system is a hierarchy of levels based on wealth.

A protestant is one who seceded from the Catholic church because of a difference in the interpretation of scripture.

Not all denominations sprang from the Catholic church.
