Love is what Jesus Christ did for you when He died on a cross so you wouldn't have to pay the price for your sins.

Love is blind and Jesus was the greatest example of Love. I believe it is in the book of John (chapter 5-ish?) the Jews, attempting to trap Jesus in his own and Abrahams teaching, brought before him a woman that was found committing adultery. They said, by Abrahamic Law, this woman should be stoned, so what are you gonna do Jesus? Jesus responded by saying, those of you who have not sinned shall cast the first stone, and went to writing on the ground nonchalantly. When Jesus looked up it was only he and the woman their. He asked her what happened to the crowd and she said they left. Jesus said that he loved the woman and he did not hate her or hold her accountable for her actions and said she could leave.
This to me is the ultimate example of Love... and this is demonstrated by the ONLY perfect being that has graced this earth. He continually forgave and never punished the so-called sinners of Ancient times. I can only follow in his footsteps and love and accept those who hurt me and do hurtful things. It is only showing the greater compasion that we are truly capable of. I am not "better" or "smarter" than anyone else, I'm just simply trying to be the best that I can personally be.

Spiritual point of view, love is caring about people you know and people you don't know (the mankind). Love is a sentiment that makes you liberate energy from you to someone else and that energy returns to you in a healthy way. Love, thoughts and prayers as well as any other sentiments are energies that comes from within us to out of us and can embrace the whole world, if we just wish. Good sentiments bring health and joy back to us. Bad sentiments bring diseases and sadness back to us.
Try it!
Peace!

Love is a decision that one makes to always unselfishly do what is in the best interest of the other. Love is not a feeling. It is an action. Love is important because it is something that we all crave from one another.

There are different kinds of love of course. Agape love like Jesus had for all humans and we should have for friends and other people. Then romantic love that we have for that special person. There's family love too, unconditional love.
