The temple is nothing like the rest of the religion and probably comes as a shock or confusion to most people going for the first time. How can someone possibly have a testimony with this vital piece of information missing?

I have heard the gnostic explination which makes at least some sense but how do christians try to rectify this obviously unrectifyable situation? If any statement in the bible says "I am not god, I am just a man" this is it.

I am a Christian who used to watch unsuitable videos on youtube. I went to the Lord about that and repented. I still feel the urge to watch something "nasty" or something. Idk if its my teenage side talking or what. I think that the only thing close to watching something " nasty" is romantic media, without any sexual content-only kissing and blah, blah, blah. Do any fellow Christians have any suggestions?

What i want to know is how you can hate so many people you don't even know just because of thier sexuality.
I'm sure Gays/Lesbians don't hate you because you are straight. How can you dedicate your lives to hating something you probally don't understand.
Love happens, whether it's Gay or Straight.
Being a Lesbian myself i have recieved alot of abuse from people i don't even know.
I don't understand why you feel the urge to try to bring people down all the time.
Please help me understand what you hate so much because i really don't understand it.

I'm asian and I went to a grocery store to get some things. It was late and the stock boys were out. One came up to me and asked "How do you make rice like in the Chinese restaurants." I responded that I didn't know and tried to move on. He followed me and kept asking. There were several other stockboys watching him and laughing. This stock boy did act a little mentally challenged, but I felt the others could've stopped him.

A few months later I go into the same store and was at the checkout. The clerk there says, "Didn't you already come through here?" Puzzled I said no. She proceeded to say "Oh well, you all look alike." I was upset. I don't know if I have anything legal I can do. I feel like these employees should be trained already not to say these things.

I am not Christian, but have been to services and Mass before. I know that in the services I went to The Nicene Creed was read.

I understand here the use of to mean coming from .

Is saying that your specific denomination and Church to be THE one universal church saying that all other denominations are wrong?

Do all sects/Churches use this Creed?
I'm confused.

There were no countries, no religion, everyone spoke the same language, there was world peace worldwide, everyone worked together to advance in technology, explore space, and create future medicines for the people in need. Who agrees with me that, that would be a better Earth?

Charvaka, sweet talker, ladies’ man, godless libertine, was the First Atheist. Many have been disgusted at the mention of his name because he liked to eat, drink, and fornicate. He was also known for questioning the authority of the Brahmin priests. Little is known of him and mystery shrouds his existence. No writings of his exist. Charvaka was The First Atheist – a man who preached the doctrine of eat, drink, and be merry in response to suppression and controls imposed by those in charge. He recognizes religion, but sees that it is no more than an instrument in the hands of the powers that be, used to forward their own agenda. The protagonist, Jan, discovers Charvaka and India through a chain of events set off by a love affair with the sensual Parvati during his student days. When Parvati is murdered in a religious rite honoring Shiva, Jan is confronted with age-old tensions between human sexuality and religion, skeptical thought, and a religious fervor that stops at nothing. Jan’s experience offers a personal insight into life in India. No references are given; it appears as if the tale is no more than a great feat of his imagination. Fact or fiction? Story or documentary? Truth has many faces, reality many layers.

I met a guy through a dating service and we had a great first date. We made plans to go out again, but he stood me up.

Now, I see he has posted his profile again. I set up a fake e-mail address and I'm setting up a "date" with him so he'll be stood up this time.
