Hanging on to ancient beliefs that have been forced down from generation to generation

It is known as a mass delusion and is a psychosis. There is very little imagination involved because in order to have imagination one has to have the ability to imagine that there isn't a God.Something that those who suffer from the mass delusion are very rarely able or willing to do.However, their delusion based beliefs are based on an imagined creation of deities that was imagined by men at a time when people were trying to imagine a convincing belief system to explain the unknown in the absence of rational thought and scientific discovery.

God exist within our harts. And the bible that written through the profits and the holly spirt is our "proof". And a question for you why i you belief in science so much would you need proof, to need or want proof is to no truly believe in it.

many scientists believe in religion.

proof?

darwin didn't have proof of his famous theory. his famous theory is just that, a theory. he never explained how life began, what sparked life. we have no fossil evidence of one species changing into another species. have you seen a "family tree" of all creatures we (all species on earth) mutated from? i haven't. the oldest fossil records we have are of fully formed, fully functional creatures.

science is always changing. stephen hawking supported his theory of black holes for 25 years. then all of a sudden he changed his theory, totally disregarding his previous work and unveiling a new theory. this happens all the time with science. new information is found, totally discrediting what we thought to be true.

proof?

the old testament has hundreds of prophecies regarding the messiah that Jesus fulfilled. the probability that He would fulfill ALL of these prophecies is astronomical, more unlikely than you winning the lottery 10 times in a row. yet he did. sounds convincing to me, but everyone has their own perspective...

I can't wait till everything can be explained in a way that humans can understand.....infinity, gravity...so many things we have to wonder about until we have proof.

That doesnt stop mathematics from using the concept of infinity, nor does it mean that gravity is imaginary just because we can't prove it's a force. Einstein "proved" it might not be a force at all.

Keep thinking, and when you know it all, share it with us

I personally believe that there is a God, how else could you explain the scientific "phenomenons" that exist. There is much more to life than facts. Everything takes its own time to become realized, your asking a question which nobody can answer, at least all they can give is their opinion, like the question what came first the chicken or the egg?

Consider what it says in Romans 1:19,20; '... because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse

Some do it for faith, something to look forward to. Some do it because they're so brainwashed that they actually believe it and will kill over the issue. Faith is important in human nature wether it's in some imaginary being, themselves or the ducks in the local park.
