I don't think it's appropriate for anyone, male or female, to behave in such a manner. It's not becoming behavior for a gentleman to do such things either.

It seems you feel very strongly about this topic. So, if you want to behave in the same manner as some of the other scumbags in today's society, go ahead. There's no one stopping you. However, I would suggest that you hold yourself to a higher standard than others. That's what being a lady is all about.

It takes time for society to change. Its not that many years ago that women were held to different standards on many more things, and some people still have those ideas. However I think farting and burping in public is just plain rude no mater who does it. Perhaps its time for a new revolution where women learn they don't have to take up the bad habits of men just to prove themselves equal or tougher. These bad habits such as farting or swearing in public are just getting worse from both men and women.

Yeah at at restaurant or around some people you don't know i would be civilized until i really know a person really well, then i start acting uncivilized. How would you like it if someone let out a big fart in a store and it really was smelly and you walked behind him/her? I wouldn't like it, but i would get over it though for me anyways. Also in some countries a burp means its good food. So i don't know where the origanitly came from.

The people who “came up with that crap” were trying to place women in a place of honor in society and thought that farting, belching and swearing brought them down to the level of men with no class. But apparently you see it differently.

You don't sound like someone who would "normally" be considered a lady anyway. So go ahead, fart, belch and swear just like all the other pigs in the world. It sounds like what you want to do.

I'm not sure, but what you're talking about sounds more like having class more than anything. Guy or girl, it's just plain gross and rude to go behave like that. If you don't want to act in such a polite, civilized manner, then don't. Nobody is forcing you.

I agree with Fiery Rain-it's about civilized behavior. I don't know anyone who thinks it's OK for men to do those things openly on purpose.
