Kewl thing about high school is that all that political crap goes out the window the day you graduate. You can move on, get a job or go to college, and be whoever you want. All the political structure is just pure BS that evaporates.

You'll encounter this kind of thing after high school, especially on the job. Just know its nothing to worry about.

im in highschool and i always tell people that labels are ridiculous. my friends are so diverse thank god and i try to hang out with all kinds of people. labels are ignorant and so way over rated. society has this idea that its okay to blanket certain characteristics over people who appear to be the same by whatever terms they see fit. example: i went over my bf's house a few weeks agoo to meet his friends and watch his band and they all label themselves as 'emo/punk/goth' so when i decided to wear bright pink and white (which i did on purpose because well its funny) on top of the fact that im black...nost of them were cool but some of them made it very clear that they didnt like me right off the bat. pretty f ucking stupid if you ask me but whatever. ive been called pretty much everything in the book - ghetto, prep, and someone called me a "black emo-ish girl" which is also kind of hilarious..i guess its because i listen to a lot of different music and i dont dress one certain way.

im glad thats me though because when people who expect you to be a certain way and prejudge you end up with that 'what the hell?' expression on their faces after actually talking to you - oh its f ucking AWESOME.

My group was the only group that was diverse. We didn't care what color you were, if you were a jock, cheerleader, etc. We were all friends having fun.
